The aesthetics of your designs and builds always make me have a happy tingle down my spine. Twin booms are nice, asymmetric planes are great, and what you are doing to this A-10 also looks good. Nice job!

or do I paint it (all sky blue, with black canopy, not bubble, with a rear post too)?

At first sight, they are jet engines yes, but "in fact", these are secret devices of unknown technology... That is why there are fins at their back without being burnt by jet exhausts.

I thought the fins didn't get burnt because they're made from solid billet titanium to compensate for all the weight lost when the rear fuselage was deleted...
