You could credibly give SMB2s to anyone who flew F-100s, Hunters or MiG-19s in real life (the latter would need rather more historical 'adjustments' of course).

SMB2 with F-100 flying surfaces. Marcel Dassault himself recogniced that SMB2 was inspired by F-100. In fact whole saga of Mystère fighters were inspired by NAA fighters.
