The Poll has less than 24 hrs to go in most places, indeed it's already done and dusted in the Antipodes and we've got a runway winner here.  :o

That's yer lot for the voting as it's now well past the end time for our westernmost members.

And it's a resounding win for Jalles' AvPro Marauder amphibian with almost 25% of the vote!

Second was Zenrat's Sky Pirates Kawanishi H6K5.

And only ONE vote behind in third place was Sandiego89's Royal Navy Sea Lightning skiplane.

A splendid GB and an amazingly high class of entries for such an esoteric subject.

A great job all of you guys.

Especially well done to Jalles, zenrat & Sandiego89 but everyone deserves congratulations for making this a difficult choice across a good number of entries.

Thank you all for participating & making Kit's, JayBee's & my jobs easy as moderators!

Thanks to the moderators for putting this together!  I love the group build format, and without the moderators there would be no group builds, cheers to you  :

Thanks to everyone who voted for the Marauder, building it was a pain at times but I'm glad others enjoyed the finished product. But I have to say, everyone that entered a build did a great job. I'm always amazed at the diversity of ideas that everyone brings to the GB.  I really loved Zenrat's H6K5 and Метательное Копье MeКo 7c as well as Sandiego89's Sea Lightning skiplane, it's still my favorite Lightning.

Jailes - you did great.  Well done.  A deserved win.

Personally, I was hoping your H6K5 was going to take the win.  It was an awesome idea, showed a lot of creativity, and the finished build is an amazing piece of work!

NARSES2

Very well done to the winners and everyone who contributed to the GB. The standard was absolutely exceptional and it was extremely difficult to pick a winner.

Seconded, and we need volunteers for the 2018/19 season, details of which I'll be posting in a couple of weeks time. Starting with the necessary poll to choose subjects etc.

Can I just say, and I hope those who have moderated agree with me, that once set up the GB's require very little input from the Mod's and basically run themselves until the poll. So it won't take up a lot of your time.

Plea over

Great job everyone!!!!   This is fun... we'll have to do another one day. I wanted to do a VVA 14 for this but couldn't manage to get one bought!  :banghead:

That's very true Chris, the main involvement of the mods is to sort out the 'Is this model allowable?' questions, which almost all occur before the GB really gets going.

There is the vexacious business of the extension of course, but there'll always be someone who starts building far too late.  ;D ;)

I am not used to group builds, but couldn't escape that one obviously because of the very topic ;-)

And I liked it !

If there is one involving chimera I might get tempted again...

Thanks to the organizers indeed !

Absolutely agree, not hard work at all. In fact, I've volunteered to mod a GB over on BtS (sorry, Chris, gotta share the love ;) ).

I figure there's going to be an extension, so it's no biggie to me. The "end" of the official GB period is just a wake-up call for the slow buggers to pull their fingers out & to Dizzy that it's time to pull out a couple more kits.

My belated congratulations to the winners and all the partecipants to a very interesting and fascinating GB. And an heartfelt thank you to the moderators for their efforts in taming that bunch of perverts esteemed gentlemen.  ;D
I hope to complete my own builds when I get my mojo back (and some family problems sorted out  )
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Time to dust off the list of ideas i've been keeping all year and try to remember what I meant when I wrote things like "Carry on Doctor".

Yup, some of my own short hand notes have me slightly confused I must admit  :banghead:

Is it possible to have two GB's going on at the same time... one just for jalles and then a secret one for the rest of us?
Thanks!
