There were still visible to me here on the west coast of North America
as of 23:00 last night. Just the black boxes now. 

OK, this is a conundrum, not visible on browser in iPhone, still visible on iPad and MacBook.

Odd.

Random inspiration:

Random idea: how about a Heinkel He 70 on twin floats, a bit like a precursor to the He 115? The kit's easily available and perhaps a pair of PM spitfire floats might do the job.
