Sadly chaps a work commitment means I can't make it this year, which is a bummer as I've not been to a show this year and I always look forward to catching up with folk.

And the AZ SR53 will have to wait.

I'm sure all will have a great time, and the SIG display will be excellent.

That's a big pain Dave, you'll be missed, as well as your exotic creations.
To right! You will be missed Dave.

On a similar note. Althou Jim wont be at the show, some of his most recent builds will be. They are currently in my care.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Hmmn.  Tyneside's not far from Collectakit...

And the SIG's location means free scran from the overseas clubs.  However, Eduard are on the same island as us.  My wallet isn't going to like that.  not at all.

It will be located at the back on the concourse between hall 1 and the Ludlow suite (were the kit swap is). Access will be via the glass doors at the back. (to the left of the main roller shutter door into hall 1) the front doors wont be in use for Friday.
I always hope for the best.

Won't be there this year, unfortunately the missus has to work the weekend so someone has to look after the kids.  Have fun all!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Quotethe front doors wont be in use for Friday.

Opening the front doors would make the parking situation a whole lot easier. The parking lot at the back is crammed, esp. for hall 3 there are huge queues. The one at the front is almost empty on the Friday.

It's also a long walk from the rear car park to the rear of hall 3 if you have to go through the roller shutters and cross halls 1 & 2 as trying to unload at Hall 3 is a pain with its very limited parking.

We are also facing the roller shutters which means they are likely to be open so it will be cold for the set up crew as they set up the stand.

Given the restrictions and access to the Halls during setup times on Friday and Saturday morning, it might be an idea for those who are displaying who are not on the set up crew and are looking to arrive during the set up times to contact the SIG leader via PM so you can exchange mobile numbers and arrange meeting up in the car park to collect models to transport into the hall if you can't bring them in when the IPMS entrance opens on Saturday at 9:00am

Just printed the hall plans off and marked where/who I want. Just need to get my orientation sorted now, don't laugh I was 180 degrees out last year  :banghead: ;D

I assume both AZ and RS are sharing with someone else like last year (not the same trader for both) as I can't find them on the IPMS list of traders. Anyone know who they are sharing with ?

Ta in advance

Chris

I will be there manning 3 SIGs. I have telescopic arms, lazer eyes, a roar to frighten yound and old, a ray gun and axe. I also have my minder to control me. I have no shopping list but may buy a 1/35 Sherman tank for an idea I have.
I have mostly now finished "construction" so what's not built now will await calmer times. I have paint/drybrushing and a few decals to complete.
Tomorrow will be priming one model.....an armed VW Beetle belonging to a Snatch Squad of either Anarchists or Police, or .....whoever!!
Tuesday and Wednesday will be painting and decaling.
Sorting and some packing Monday, completed on Wednesday.
Thursday "relax" with a walk around the National Arboretum.....
Arrive to set up Friday evening....I have 30 ft to fill. :banghead:

I was wondering about that when I saw the plan Terry and then for some reason thought of the Movie 'Split' and wondered if you switched personality between each stand  :o.....

Any good luck with prep work and see you there
