I'm thinking of clearing out my half-finished kits, the ones that have sat for years when I lost the will to complete them with paint. Is anyone interested if I bring them to SMW Telford?
They won't go in the Kitswap but be strictly behind our stand for our eyes only. Might also have some bagged kits very cheap.

Not got a complete list yet but includes these in the one true scale, 1/72

Alpha Jets
Fouga Magister
DH Vampire
Frog Jaguar
Airfix EE Lightning
AMT Kamov Hokum
JB Landrover Ambulance

Testors/Hawk 1931 Supermarine S.6B 1/48

The Wooksta!

I'm sure I can find a home for the Vampire and the Lightning.  And any Spitfires too.

Is the show in Telford really that big as claimed? Is it that much better than the National Convention?

In terms of floor area SMW is approximately 3 to 4 times as large as the US National Convention.

Right lads just a warning that for various reasons I may not be humping my camera with me this year, so don't rely on me for the pics.

I might bring it but apologies in advance if I don't.

I'll have mine with me, and spare batteries too.

Just a note for those on Friday setup, the location of the SIGs in Hall3 is opposite the roller shutter door again, however with more traders and no real world exhibits that door will be open and used for vehicle access and egress so after discussion with the IPMS on their FB page they have suggested a 5-6pm set up window rather than pitch up at 3pm as the tables may not be able to be set up till later in the afternoon. Thankfully we do have Eduard on one end and another set of Traders at the other so once those are setup our tables are then pretty much secure.

However given past experience aim toward the later time to avoid standing around and getting cold because we can't set up yet

Thanks for that Geoff. Gives me more time to travel there. I could always help at the London stand if I arrive too early for us to set up What If table.

The Wooksta!

No doubt I'b be strip mining Collectakit on the Friday, so that'll help pass some time...

It's quite noticeable how the number of posts has decreased since last weekend as Telford looms over the horizon.  ;D ;D

That's really screwed me  :banghead: As my train ticket doesn't allow flexibility, makes it by far the cheapest option, I'll probably grab a cab to the hotel near Donnington, check in, grab a spot of lunch and then get a cab back latter. All good fun  :-\

For those of you who remember me, I will be at Telford this weekend. I know I haven't been as active in the group or as prolific at modeling this past year, but there have been some real world issues. I have been in contact with Allan (Dork, the kitslayer) after seeing him at the US conventions the last couple years. I look forward to a chance to say hello and meet those who are there.

If you see Santa Claus (Father Christmas) with a strange accent, stop and say hello.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

That'll be great Ed, glad you can come over again.
