People just tend to put up individual requests but there's no reason why we couldn't have a specific thread. Do you want to set it up ?

Could we have it as a Sub Group of the SwapShop ?

If so how do we go about setting it up ?

I think we may need to come up with some 'rules'  to keep it friendly etc.

Yes we could.

I'm happy to set it up.

As for rules ? I think we simply need the thread to be one of "I'm looking for this kit" and if someone has or knows how to get one then they PM the applicant/supplicant ? Let me think about it a bit

Hows that sound ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Sounds good to me. Call it something like 'Does anyone have ....?'

'Rules' should be simple...
  No outrageous lists
No wishing for something that doesn't exist
No bartering or horse trading though a one for one or one for many trade would be ok.
No list of available Spitfire kits in attempt to bankrupt the Wooksta
  Common kits only
Country of residence to be given (so as not to shock any one with postage costs)
  No rule 6 (makes sense)

The thing is I have hundreds of old kits which I'd never put on ebay because they are more trouble than they are worth (ebaywise I mean). But you never know someone some where may say 'Does any one have  a KP Avia B.35 and all of a sudden we have two happy campers.

What about Rule 6 though?  ;)

Rule 6 is required and should be strictly adhered to. Shame on you Kit for asking.... ;D

Even though there is no Rule 6

I need for SMW all of the undercarriage bits from the old Matchbox F-101 kit in 1/72.
ward if you don't get one of these at SMW then let me know. I definitely have the full kit and I'm sure we could come to some arrangement either for the parts or the complete kit.

ok bungle you are on. I have two or three of these kits as wiff fodder and the first is done but I had to raid one of them for half the main u/c and the doors to get it presentable for SMW2017. its the RF101 option in the kit but in 'euro1' colors wrap around and MS ANG markings. I haven't done the 'Euro1' as well as I would like too, so will need most of the kit less the wings perhaps using the major part of the forward fuselage for a DH Sea Vixen project I have in mind.

You'd not get much sport from me anyway.  I'm VERY picky about Spitfire kits now. For the vast majority of Spitfire and Seafire kits in 72nd I have multiple examples, in some cases well into double figures thanks to the Great Home Bargains Airfix Treasure Hunt last year.

There's only a few rarities that I'm actually after and even then, I have multiples of said kits.  For example, I'm quite partial to Airkit Spitfire F21s, but I know I've at least ten - one has no wings, but as I've the Airkit C wing conversion, it'll be the only Airkit F14 in existence when done.  I'm also partial to the 1996 tooling of the CMK Seafire FR47 as they got it wrong and it's closer to a Spitfire than the Seafire 47.  However, I know for a fact I have seven, having counted them a few moments ago.

The only people who have a real chance of bankrupting me with Spitfires are AZ/KP and Eduard, quite possibly the latter!

Is this thread going ahead? Do hope so, as the only thing I can really do with obtaining is the matchbox/Revell mirage III BZ in 72nd scale. I have already done one but want to build another, modified of course

Mirages seem to be quite thin on the ground at the moment.  A  acquaintance is after several and having very little luck.

want a 2 seat Mirage III as I have done one pretty standard, and want to do one with canards and a Cheetah D nose, I ampart way through doing a PM mirage III with a Cheetah nose on it, crap kit, little detail, but still better than the airfix one I did before it....just. Hi planes do one, but I begrudge shelling out £30 for something so small and something I am going to cut up.

I need to have a think about the practicalities Chris as to some extent it duplicates the individual "I'm looking for" threads. Need to see where it differs

Give me a day or so
