Piggy Back, nonsense.
Remember the James Bond film qhere he (Roger Moore) flew a Bede BD-jJ that had folding wings?
So you have a Leopard with folding wings, and it is inside the fuselage of the Atlas. It gets roled to the very back of the rear ramp, the wings unfold and it is given a shove (a couple of Rock Apes would be enough) and away you go. Simples!

Actually there's enough space in the Atlas' hold for maybe five or six Leopards, even more if you stacked them.  :o

With the amount of work need on the Atlas I wasn't too confident of finishing my Leopard off before Telford, not that it was a 'target' model for the event. But as it turns out it looks like it will be done.

I've finished the decals on both sides, added two coats of Klear, and the landing gear is all painted by now. I'm just waiting for the last paint touch-ups to dry and I can assemble the gear to the model.

As predicted above I've done it, a tad later than I figured but all three gear struts pinged off into orbit, so I had to stretch some sprue to replace them.  :banghead:

So here is the tiny thing, and it's come out better than I thought it world, a good coat of Klear covers a multitude of sins.  ;D

That's my excuse, but I'm sure there are times Mrs Wombat would love to throw me out into the street over my modelling addiction. ;D

I meant to mention the main gear legs, if you assemble them as designed the model sits nose-down quite a bit, whereas the real thing sits dead flat.

There are two protuberances, one on each side of the leg up near the top and I found that cutting the the leg off flush with the top of the protuberances brings them down to the correct length.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Oops, just realised I never comment on the finished article - well done Kit, it looks great!

If anyone's interested in one of these, Hannants are currently clearing the kit at £12.27, which is a substantial reduction on the original list price:
