The Wanted/For Sale Thread

Now you may well ask why the specific section of the site for this when we already have a for sale/wanted section ? Well some people have been asking me about having a "one stop shop" for those small sales and purchases you might not normally consider suitable for their own thread. A sort of on-line under the table a show section....kind of ?

The purpose of this section of the Swapshop section of the site then is to set aside a separate section of the board where people can list those more "commonplace" models that they are after or have for sale, maybe in multiples, rather than list each one separately. It might be that having listed something here you "forget" about it ? Well it will still be here, it won't disappear off the page and someone may well be looking for exactly that a few weeks latter ?

Why list them here if they are common place ? Well not everyone has a local hobby shop (I don't)  nor does everyone attend shows on a regular basis. So this is, if you like, an on-line "under the table search".

So anyway lets give it a go and see if it works. I can always disentangle it if it just causes confusion, but I don't think it should ? Famous last words

First some basic rules.

This section is intended for "common kits" (what we may think of as What-if fodder) not hard to come by , rare  nor escoteric ones.

List the kit, manufacturer, scale and boxing wanted/for sale if applicable.

If offering kits for sale lists to be clearly marked as Available with price and/or whether a trade would be considered.

Can you state your country of residence so that the prospective seller can work out the postage in his price.

Are you prepared to pay postage from overseas ?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Is the Revell Arado 234 you want the ex-FROG 4-engined with the V1 on top?

I think I have one if so, and an Airfix Scout as well. I've probably got a FROG attacker too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Yes Kit, it's the ex-Frog.

If you have PM me with what you want for them moneywise or if there's any kits you are looking for that I may have.

Im on the lookout for an A Model Ka.26 Hoodlum (standard version, kit 7240), any leads please give me a shout or if anyone has one for sale/swopsies :)

iv a hankering to build the one demonstrated from Glasgow Airport following an appearance at the 1975 Paris Air Show. Ka.26, CCCP-26184, called at Speke, Liverpool, 14th September, following which it routed through from Southend/Rochford to Glasgow/Abbotsinch for further demonstration flights. Whilst in the UK. it was under the aegis of Helicopter Hire and being promoted by Scottish Aviation as a possible type for European use/licence production. I actually recall seeing it flying over my home one sunny afternoon back then (i thought it was a Huskie!)

cheers, Joe

Bungle, I've an Airfix Boston not ten feet from me that's part started and I'd happily get shot of. IIRC, the internals are in and the wings are assembled, but that's it.  And it's a mid/late 70s boxing.

I can also supply a Novo Attacker or two (I have a considerable number in the stash...).  Also I *might* have a box of Wyvern bits in the loft at me Mam's.

Does anyone have for a reasonable (not ebay) price......All are 1/72nd scale and I'd prefer older rather than new versions/boxings

I have a gentlemen's agreement with Gary to take delivery of his Warwick in exchange for beer tokens and a pair of white metal Aeroclub Merlins.  He thinks there may be enough bits for two Warwicks in the box.  I'm still on the lookout for another - an operational one with Vultures in Wellington sqn markings is a nice idea.

I have, presently winging to me from the Good Ol' USA, a Contrail "spare bits" kit for a Warwick.  It has sufficient fuselage, wings, tail to complete a Warwick from the left-over bits from the original Contrail Warwick kit.   I was intending to mould a resin kit from the vacuform model.   Perhaps we can come to an "arrangement"?
How to reduce carbon emissions - Tip #1 - Walk to the Bar for drinks.

The Wooksta!

Probably.  I was actually considering doing something similar, although I was intending to cheat by using some Trumpeter Wellington components, such as the cockpit interior, fin and possibly tailplanes.  These would depend on how they matched the Warwick plans.  It's the transport one I'm most interested in, although a late GR.V with an FN82 tail turret is another one that's tempting me.

When I went looking for the Merlins, one turns out to be a De Havilland engine...
