Have you chased Alec of Brampton up about the AlleyCat resin Warwick he was supposed to be releasing ?

He's been ill hasn't he?  TBH, I'd rather try and fail with a vacform then go down the resin route.  Besides which, I reckon you'd be looking at the thick end of £100 for one - given the cost of rubber, I reckon I could do my own moulds for about that price.  Then possibly recover any monies by flogging the masters on...

Glenn Ashley is also blowing hot air about one, although his tale is that the bloke who's doing his masters works when he feels like it, goes very slowly and takes the huff and downs tools when quizzed.  I'll believe it when I see it.

I have been looking for a kit of a Robin Reliant - can't find one anywhere.  Ever since my daughter saw one on Top Gear she's wanted one, and if she can't have the real thing - which she can't, in the US - then a model would be next best.

Does anyone know of such a kit?

It's a RELIANT ROBIN, not a Robin Reliant!

Do they call them a Beetle Volkswagen or a Mini Austin? No!  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

As for models of same, I've never seen a kit of one, but there's at least one diecast one around as a friend of mine has one on his model railway layout. He models in 3 mm though, so it's pretty small.

There are more models of the earlier Reliant, the van version of which appeared in 'Only Fools and Horses' of course. See here :-

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

There's the Airfix Bond Bug, which is what I thought Top Gear had tested but maybe that was another episode.

But there are a number of scale models of the Reliant

The Bug kits costs a fortune when, and if, they appear for sale. It's a lovely kit, I have one unbuilt one in The Loft and I really should build it. (How many times have I written that this year?)

A cracking car to drive, specially in the summer with the 'doors' off.  ;D I had the one I test drove on two wheels more than once.  ;) ;)

Most of the models in the Google link are Regals though, but this one is the Robin my friend has on his layout.

You mean the Reliant Regal and Rialto.  I think...

Anyhoo, I'm now on the lookout for an Aircraft in Miniature HP Hastings.  I've got a Formaplane one, but the AIM one is in a thicker grade plastic and has resin engines.

They do in some parts of the world Kit. Also probably described that way in a Quartermasters list of stores. Brown bag, puke, use of  ;)

Absolutely mate, but 5 passenger Mini's. Ones I remember definitely weren't configured for 5, but I have seen a lot more in them

You are not far off on the price, I think Alec is aiming for £110. Masters were ready last August but he is waiting on decals at the moment, three boxings at least planned. Glenn Ashley mentioned about doing one but as I understand came to agreement with Alec not to proceed which is sensible. AlleyCat Warwick masters were made my Alan Southcomb, who has done all the recent Blackbird sets and kits.

Its a fairly large lump of resin, but I'm sure he will sell a few even at that price.

The Wooksta!

Whilst the price for the Contrail vacform is high - the last one I saw on ebay went for the start price of 40 notes - it's considerably less than what Alleycat may be charging.  I know what I'll be aiming for.  Vacform and/or mould my own.

Definitely after another one or two Warwicks.

And having had a close look at the Formaplane Hastings in my stash, I really want another one or two.

Anybody need just one half of a 747 fuselage?? Hasegawa 1/200 scale stuff.  OR, do YOU have one that you don't want?

Long shot, I know. I got it in a big junkyard lot of un built airliner parts and pieces. If no one needs it, I was contemplating turning it into a wall hanger and mounting it on a wooden plaque. Only need half a plane for that.    But, I'd rather it find another half if possible.
