:o :o :o

did you paint blues lines on a black background, or black patches on a blue background?

I painted the whole hull sky blue and then painted on Intermediate blue (it looks black) patches.
Painting on the blocks means you can easilly get non parallel gaps between blocks and they don't line up (which is what I wanted).  You can achieve that effect painting on the lines but you have to concentrate more.  It takes less paint though.

That's looking potentially AWESOME Fred. LOVE the 'contour shading' on the wings.

Ah, but I could still f**k it up.
I have after all yet to add the fifth engine (OK, any engines to be precise), flying bridge, Oerlikon mount, Vickers guns and dinghies...

I explained to Mrs z about Sea Giraffes.  She says we are all mad.

I resent that ! Eccentric, yes but mad ? Never  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The paintscheme looks like a winner already

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Don't know where the quote comes from (Young Frankenstein, maybe?) but it fits...  ;D

Agreed, it looks like a work of art, something you'd see in a museum.  Reminds me a bit of those BMW art cars.
