Run for the year but have 3-month mini-themes?  Inter-war, WW2, post-WW2.  I realise the last one's huge in scope so maybe split it into Cold War and The 21st Century.

That's part of the idea that's rattling around in my brain at the moment. Not quite that but something similar. HOWEVER we have to recognise that not everyone recognises it as a significant anniversary and might say - "well this year was the U.S.A.F.'s 70th" for instance. So I still want to have two other GB's and the One Week GB to hopefully cover everybodies interests.

As I said give me a couple of weeks to settle on my proposals.

Apologies Chris, wasn't as clear as I should have been.  I meant mini themes within an overarching RAF 100 GB.  Maybe (on reflection) not have them timed but still subsets of an RAF 100 GB.

And yes, fully agree that there are plenty of other GB ideas to explore/run.

No problem. My only concern is that my brain appears to be leaking  ;) ;D

Hopefully I can put a couple of my ideas past you and Young Nick at the London show to test them out ?

if this GB gets going,i have tons of old and delayed projects to build, including the F-104K Starighter F.1, Airbus A320 CC.1 or the Vindicator B.1 (RAF B-2 Spirit).
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

I love this idea.

BTW: Can British Popular Republic Air Force be included in this theme?

On the assumption it happens (and in all honesty I'm simply tinkering with the "how to") then I see no reason why not as it's still the RAF. However I don't want to preempt any discussions by prospective moderators.

Just realised I must have woken up with my politicians head on this morning  ;)

Who would you have to upset to find a politician's head in your bed?
The mind boggles!

The build will be a full, standard GB and like many a politician before me I've changed my stance on this.

In all probability when I publish the rules over the weekend the R will mean Royal and thus republican forces will be excluded. My reasoning ? The GB is intended to be a tribute to the RAF's 100th birthday and I feel the "Royal" is an integral part of that. Sorry if any die hard republican's are offended.

It will encompass more than just the British "RAF" however.

As I've said I'll publish the rules over the weekend.

So space for other letters between the R and the A?
Another A, NZ, C or SA perhaps?

I eagerly await the rules.

Most certainly, the rules to go up on Monday will explain.
