Looks good Dizz but I don't envy you all that PSR...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

With the pylon it does look very Dornier, and in it's current configuration has a jet Grumman Goose look to it ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Is that Grumman Goose or German Goose?  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

This near Christmas it's a Worried Goose  ;D

Attached the landing gear yesterday, and the Seeschwalbe stands on its feet now - even with the nose down!

Those were precisely my thoughts - it's the way the wing 'hunkers' (that is a word yes?) down into the fuselage?
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Wow, that's a hell of a project. It's a bit like a smaller version of the Beriev R-1:

I suspect what they'd do if building it for real is increase the dihedral of the inboard sections to bring them into the fuselage a bit lower down.

Painting started, with a splinter scheme basis in RLM 73 and 74 from above. Pretty murky, but I'll add a light mottle/meander pattern in order to disrupt the aircraft's outlines. The pattern underneath will probably be hard to recognize at all. though, so I am not too ambitious with straight lines and hard angles. So far I am amazed how little of the body work is recognizable after initial painting, even though almost any (raised) surface detail is gone. But I think the light makeshift pattern will help hide this "flaw".
The undersides will receive a thin blue-grey primer coat fiest, with thinned black crudely painted over. All in all the aircraft is supposed to look like a "special nocturnal duty" vehicle. Consequently, the Seeschwalbe will probably also receive only minimal markings, and any signs of the cabin (doors, portholes) will be simulated with decal material.

Agreed, not that it didn't look good before, but it looks great with the painting started.

More painting progress: undersides were painted with light blue-grey (Humbrol 87) yesterday, initial decals applied and thinned acrylic black painted over the the lower surfaces in order to simulate a typical German makeshift night camouflage. More decals to follow, as well as more paint on the upper surfaces.

With some paint the whole thing looks better than expected, it's coming together nicely!
