I'm sooo glad someone pointed out that the flmmaker is a she. I thought it was a painted-up male, she's so ugly!

That's a trifle cruel, and not really appropriate on this Forum.

Now if you were talking about one of us being ugly............  ;D ;D

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

I've been seeing this person around at model shows this year, and I've had a couple of brief conversations with her. As far as I can tell, she seems to be there for the modelling, not to make some sort of political statement or cause a scene, so that's okay by me.

That photographer needs to learn how to take videos or how to edit, I was getting sea-sick by the time the Project Cancelled SIG came up - & I don't normally get sea-sick! :o :banghead:

That's true of many video camera-people, who seem to think that panning and zooming at great speed is an essential part of their 'trade'. They should spend more time looking at movies and TV camera shots and see how slooooooooow they all move.

Unless the person concerned went round again slowly and studied what was on the tables I would suggest that she was more interested in filming than looking at models.

I recall her filming don't forget what you see is edited footage, she was as I recall looking at the models first then did a fly be so to speak with the camera afterwards. Not a bad idea as there are a hell of a lot of models to see during the two days of the show and its very easy to miss some interesting items by just being overwhelmed by the quantity and quality on show.

I think if I was putting together a video of a model show, I'd be inclined to alternate moving video of generally walking around to establish the atmosphere, with montages of still shots over music to showcase the actual models.

I'd end up deleting/editing half the thread mate, so lets just put it down to one of those" foot in  mouth" moments we all have from time to time and accept the comment is withdrawn, eh ?

No problems

Well, she is a modeller and was attending with her local club, Stoke-On-Trent model club.
Seems pretty fair modeller's interest to me. Like Torvic said, there are so many models there that i believe i couldn't do a better job than she did.
Pretty cool for me cause i couldn't go there so, gave her a thumbs up and a sub for this one.

My point was, that if you are concentrating solely on filming you don't see the models except through the screen on your camera/phone.
Anyone who has been to a concert attended by young people in the last ten years will realise that they are incapable of watching a performance without filming it on their phone.  This means they concentrate on keeping the stage framed and thus experience it through a 4" screen.

I tend to do a concentrated, single-minded 'camera run' at shows, with the camera put firmly away before and afterwards. Mind you, at Telford, that took me most of Sunday morning...
