What to do when you want to bring 2 historic racers to a meeting abroad? Use one of them to tow the other, of course:

Magic!

I bet the Bentley makes a better job of towing the Porsche than the Porsche would of towing the Bentley!  ;D

I like the way he says '....overtaking is 'interesting'.....' Goodness knows the overtakeee thinks when that lot comes past him!  :o

I don't see what the fuss is all about.  It seems like a perfectly logical thing to do.
After all, Bugatti did describe the 3 litre Bently as the fastest lorry in the world.  It is only fitting that it pulls a trailer.
I'd like to see one pulling a caravan.

The late Sir Hector Munro (once MP for Dumfries and Galloway) had a Bentley similar to that one. He used to tell the story of being stopped by the Italian Police south of  Turin......not for any offence, but so that they could ask him to lift the bonnet and they could gaze on the "bella machina"  He claimed that they escorted him to his hotel at  "well over 80, quite sufficient speed for the circumstances ".

One can just picture the scene as he described it; Italian Police Lamborghini with  lights and music in front, dark green blower Bentley cruising along behind with a late middle aged MP driving and his wife (in his words) "waving to the assembled peasantry".

Modified later   AAAGH!!  Sorry people it wasn't McLean it was Hector MUNRO
