thanks all !

I do recognize that the stealth aspect was not in my plan : I just considered : (a) a hull (b) a wing (c) engines
which were enough ingerdients for a potential flying boat.

The bat boat is a bit like that actually : ait looks like a small boat with added-on wings ;
a bit like the russian flying tank glider was a tank with biplane wings attached.
I like the collage / hybrid / chimera aspect of all this : chance meetings on a dissecting/modelling table ;D

The same reasoning applied to the Corsaire boat and biplane wings in the other thread :
RW evaluation is obviously cautiously kept under a carpet or two

I like that.
Apart from a hull I have enough spare parts to knock up something like that.  And the hull could be scratched up as it's all single radius curves by the look of it.
I'll have to get fiddling with cardboard templates.

That's the 1914 configuration, the 1913 and 1915 versions are different.

Bat-Boat #1 had a hull built at the Saunders works using Saunders
Consuta sewn ply technique and looked very much like a period
speedboat.

The Bat-Boat was named for the winged racing boats of Kipling's With the Night Mail.

Woooooah, that one's even better.
I built a canoe using the sewn plywood technique.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

a bit beyond my skills, but

the canopy comes from a 1/72 Ju52

PR19_Kit

That's going to look superb.

here it comes, in blue :

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

PR19_Kit

Very good, an excellent mixture of ancient and modern.

Wonderfully odd creation.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
