There we are people, a shiny new thread for you to play with.

But the book shops won't open till the day after tomorrow..................
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The inter-webs never close.  ;)

Yeah, but then you have to wait for the Postal Service to play their part...

Unless you spend NYE with friends who have presents for you.

I got Blueprint of Victory - Britain's First World War Blitzkrieg Airforce by Greg Baughen and Rolls-Royce Armoured Car 1915-44 (all models) Owners' Workshop Manual by Haynes.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Anyway subject pinned
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Cross-posted in Scooter's Randomness:

Got my copy last week, and finished it up last night.  Fascinatingly detailed look at the Siege of Tsingtau, as well as brief overviews of the factors that led to the creation of the RAN/RNZN, the acquisition and loss of the Imperial German-held island chains at the outset of the war, and the fate of the Ostasiengeschwader (East Asia Squadron).

I STILL can't find that RAF Secret Jets bookazine.  :banghead: :banghead:

I found a copy in a local WH Smiths and it is rather fascinating. I'd say it's a condensed version of all the big Secret Projects books and great value for money. WHS think this is far too good value and even tried to charge £7.99 when the cover price is £6.99....

You don't have to fight the scrums in hope of finding a copy that hasn't been lovingly pre-read by a ham-fisted cheapskate
You can order it directly from the printers with free delivery  https://www.classicmagazines.co.uk/product/5532/bookazine-raf-secret-jets-of-cold-war-britain     ;D

The same thing happened to my friend, he queried it and the staff sorted it.  I may well have payed the £7.99 price as I hadn't been aware of the difference.  :banghead:
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Well one book I won't be getting is British Warships & Auxiliaries 2018, I have had this annually since 1982 and got the backdated copies back to when it started in 1979, yes its a lot thinner than the 80's editions due to the shrinking Royal Navy but last year the publisher Maritime Books was bought out and has subsequently gone bust so no more books  :banghead:
Project Cancelled SIG Secretary, specialising in post war British RN warships, RN and RAF aircraft projects. Also USN and Russian warships

Sorry to hear this. I'd a lot of good stuff from them in the publisher's early years.

The digital version of the RAF:Secret Jets bookazine.

Looks good on my 12.7" iPad Pro, the only niggle being that with any art that crosses the gutter,
the two halves don't align, but hat's what screenshots and Photoshop are for.  ;)

Gondor

Received an eBay purchase of a copy of

Aerofax Avro Vulcan by Phil Butler and Tony Buttler. Cost me about the same as the second hand versions available on Amazon which are ex liberary copies so I think I got the better deal even if it was fairly pricy. Makes a complete set of all three V bombers in the Aerofax series for me so I didn't mind the price, too much  :-\
