The Admiralty and the Helicopter: Royal Navy Helicopter Projects by James Jackson.

I've had a quick flick through and although there's not as many drawings of alternative types as other Project Tech Profiles there is a lot is stuff in the text.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Got my pair of books too (library copy and working copy), and had a flick through and a read of some sections without doing the sit down cover-cover read which will happen this week.

There's not many drawings as unfortunately there are not a great deal of original drawings remaining especially of Project aircraft, and acquiring permission to republish original material from source that is available can be expensive. Some of the types due to the nature of the joint venture of the Requirements for 358 and 365 are already covered in the earlier Air Staff and the helicopter whilst others do not show specific Naval variants.
We have been trying for the last couple of years to source artwork or drawings of the WG4/WG7 medium helicopter that lost out to the Puma, but whilst there is documentation there are no images.

That cover pic looks like the very little known 737-20, the ultra-short fuselaged version flown by NASA.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Maybe it was the only version that would fit on the front page.

One for you, Kit, to go along with the super-stretched version?  ;D
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Funny you should say that.  ;D

I must admit to being a 737 hater, I REALLY don't like the short little fat f******s, despite a 737 being the first airliner kit I ever built, but that even shorter little etc. etc. has a certain something to it.

They keep stretching it and stretching it and it's at the point now where it's 10 feet shorter than a 707. At that point got to thinking about using a boeing 707 fuselage with 737 wings and engines to create the BOEING 737-910SuperER .   ;D

IIRC the 707, 727 and 737 have the same cross section of their fuselages so I reckon you could do that.

JCF will know these things of course.  ;D ;)

IIRC, there was a joke that Boeing didn't make the fuselages of the early series, but just pushed them out of a sausage press and cut to length.

Yes and no, upper lobes are basically the same, there are differences in the lower lobes.
I have comparison drawings somewhere.

BTW the -900 and the new Max 10 are anything but short little b******s.  ;D

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
