Received in the post today;

The Osprey Encyclopedia of Russian Aircraft 1975 to 1995 by Bill Gunston.

Assume you mean 1875 to 1995 ? If so, then yes there is some absolutely fascinating stuff in there

Ooops.  Yes that's the one.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The Wooksta!

"UFOs and the National Security State: Vol 2 1973-1991" by Richard Dolan.

One of the more respected and grounded UFO researchers, he doesn't come across as one of the tin foil hat wearing loonies.

Gondor

Hawker Harrier
Warfare with Vertical Velocity

I was recommended this book for information of non US/UK users, next to nil in it about them  :banghead: :banghead: so I am not too happy about that, on the other hand it is quite nice with lots of information about development aircraft leading up to the Harrier so not a complete waste of time.

Gondor
My Ability to Imagine is only exceeded by my Imagined Abilities

Gondor's Modelling Rule Number Three: Everything will fit perfectly untill you apply glue...

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Following on from a post by Weaver, just received from a dealer on Amazon Marketplace.

The Eagle Annual of The Cutaways.

A little bit more expensive than it's original price but it is in new condition.

In this case the reality and nostalgia are walking hand in hand.
Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

A surprise package in the post today. "The Ironclads - an illustrated history of battleships from 1860 through to the First World War".

What I call "a pick up put down" book. You can just pick it up, open it up anywhere and browse. Fascinating stuff and I certainly now need to have a good look at the traders who specialise in ship models at Southern

I think I know who sent it to me, so THANK YOU

Weaver

Aerosan by Jim Kinnear, published by Tankograd.

Seems to be the only reference book collating the remarkably thin amount of info and pictures regarding Soviet, Finnish and German aero-sleds from pre-WWI up to the end of WWII.

Gondor

Received today from ebay, though it was posted on the day it should have arrived  :-\

Ilyushin Il-76 Russia's Versatile Airlfter by Dmitriy Komissarov and Yefim Gordon, published by Aerofax.

With just a flip through it looks good and as I have a 1/144 Il-76 in the stash its good reference material.

If you are a Harry Potter fan, then there is one book that you will need to entertain others like you.
Harry Potter A pop-up guide to Hogwarts. By Matthew Reinhart, illustrated by Kevin M.Wilson and a table big enough to accommodate the 33 x 37 inches when totally unfolded.
The castle comes in two parts, followed by the Quidditch Pitch , Hogsmead Village, the Shrieking Shack, Marauders Map and The Forbidden Forest.
There's loads of pull-outs, so its not a toy, but it will need to be put on display out of reach of little fingers.
There are hidden rooms with behind the scenes content.
It can be a bit pricey so shop around.

SAM 7.    A fictional account of a DC10 being shot down over London, and the subsequent investigation.  I got it FREE  so it's probably worth what I paid for it. It seems to major on police/AIB investigation techniques
