Not kits, but two sets of CMK CFT's for F-16's. I have just put a pair on my XL, and even with heating them up with boiling water they were a nightmare to get to fit on the fuselage and stay put. And on't I know it as one of them has moved at one end and sticks out like a dogs d***. so that's my F-16 XL ruined. Project FUBAR will be the heading when I finish and post this build  :banghead: :banghead:

I have a Trumpeter 1/700 Graf Zeppelin on its way off eBay. It appeared about the same time as the Phantom but with an RRP of £40 so waited for a more reasonable price to pop up on eBay and snapped it up. Will be nice to have a genuine 1/700 waterline version, the details should be a lot sharper and more refined than the Revell 1/720 kit and its also the correct scale.

Will probably do it real as its a genuine Project Cancelled Aircraft Carrier, although I may get another later to do a post war modernisation on it, either Russian or West German

Received it yesterday and a snoot in the box reveals it to be quite a tasty looking kit and i think i will do it OOB with possibly a few extra aircraft as a cancelled project.

A certainly will pick up another to do as a post war version now i have seen the plastic

For some unknown reason I'm fascinated by these, it's just the thought of the work that goes in to them  :o Reading a build report in Airfix Magazine yesterday I came across a company called "Easy Metal Links" which as the name suggests make them in white metal thus adding realistic sag. According to the junior modeler doing the build they are a doddle to use. I still have nightmares from the origional tracks on the Airfix 1/72 armour. In the end it was the only modelling my mum ever did....sewing the tracks together for me  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

zenrat

Yeah, vinyl tracks <shudder>.
It's what stops me getting 1/72 armour.

I don't... In fact, i've never used it and only knew of it's existence a few months ago... With CA glue it's always been "get it right on the first go" for me so, it's always a bit scary to use and i'm extremely careful as to where and how much glue should be used... Still, i'd like to get some of that stuff, could be of use on the resin stuff i've got on the stash.

I have invested in some of that now, as I have other stuff that needs super glue removing from it.
