The Chaos

NARSES2

Some nice ones there "Chaos". I have fond memories of the Tamiya Tiger and I do like the look of the E-100 Jagdpanzer
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I managed to win another 1/200 Revell Boeing SST kit, it's probably the reissue model. If memory serves me right there should be two models inside; swept wing and the other landing/take off position.

Dizzyfugu

An Airfix Jet Provost. Might become a Member of the Irish Air Corps.  ;D

Correct, both the original and the re-issue contained both models. The original box lid showed the yellow/black scheme and the re-issue showed the PanAm scheme IIRC.

The Chaos

new from the last Modelingshops in berlin.

Gondor

I popped up to Perth for a bit today to look around the Scottish Nationals as I have not been feeling like being there for the whole two days.

Came away with an Eduard UTI MiG-15 profipack in 1/72

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Thorvic

Sadly not at Perth but i did get a delivery fro the Postie :-

Modelcollect 1/72 NATO MAN Pershing II missile to go with the GLCM i got (took less than a week from China !)
Eduard 1/72nd Mig-21 MF - nice
Project Cancelled SIG Secretary, specialising in post war British RN warships, RN and RAF aircraft projects. Also USN and Russian warships

The Wooksta!

Perth acquisitions comprised:

Airfix DH Heron
VAMI DH Dove
Heritage Supermarine 224 (x2 for a fiver each!)
Heller Spitfire mk XVIe (on opening it was a chopped fuselage and other part started bits.  Still, I can use it as a wing donor)
Academy PV Ventura (going RAF transport)
Skybirds 86 DH Sea Hornet NF21 (Collectakit managed to surprise me)

And finally, from OGL
AIM HP Hastings - a much improved repop of ye olde Formaplane kit, with resin engines, white metal, brass etch and decals, one of which is for a Met Flight aircraft.

The Wooksta!

Just won on ebay:
Vlaom DH Albatross "Civilian"

Not that it bothers me which boxing it is because the plastic is the same in both - it's going impressed and in the Temperate Sea Scheme of EDSG and Dark Slate Grey over Azure Blue anyway, possibly with BOAC markings but more likely RAF - but it was still cheaper that the cheapest Buy It Now option on ebay and a considerable saving over what the Lowestoft thieves are gouging.

I too have sourced a Valom DH.91 Albatross for my stash. no real intention of whiffing it
Unless somebody does Decals for the early BEA Peony scheme?
Also got the Valom Heinkel He119V5 that's the one with floats.
And an eBay win of an Airfix Whitley GR.VII

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

What's the Peony scheme?

I'm not sure I've heard that term before.

As far as I know it refers to the colour of the red cheat line used on the aircraft.
The DC3's that were converted to Darts for example had that scheme.
This web site also refers to it as the Peony/three crown scheme https://www.yesterdaysairlines.com/bea-liveries-1946-1974.html
I'm pretty sure I've seen it refered to as such in a book, which I can't find now........ :banghead:
