Ah, thanks for that Brad. Roden are expanding their range widely, albeit expensively in some cases.

Nothing in the mail today but I ordered this little quad jet business jet thing? Toted the presidents around when the larger plane (707 at the time I think) wouldn't work. Can't wait to get that one!  The presidential livery by Raymond Loewy is some of the classiest stuff ever if you ask me! I can't believe someone would want to change it. Ahem.

That'd be a Lockheed Jetstar then. I didn't know anyone had kitted that, nice one!

in 72nd too (ish!!!)

The Roden kit does come (in one guise) in USAF camo, however it is in European2 i.e. "Charcoal Lizard".
However that does not detract from the fact that it is a lovely little kit.

That's good to hear!  I fear doing the paint work on the presidential chariot, though.  :o   It's the super shiny NMF parts that worry me.  ;D  Oh well, no better way to get... uhh... better, than with more practice I suppose.

I just got that old school gundam kit as well.  Not sure why, but it was somehow able to jump off the shelf at the LHS and follow me home... and it brought a friend, the Red Zaku. ;)
Thanks!

Dear, oh dear, you can't trust these kits an inch, can you?  :o

Erm, spray cans?  DOn't know what the US equivalent of Halfords is though.
I got everything I need it's just a matter of all the masking with swooping curves (the thing I DEFINITELY need practice with  ;D) and difficult placement then once it's on, it can't be touched, masked on, cleared over, etc. It's just an added level tedium. I'll either have to try to be mindful of the stuff after it's on or alter the build procedure by doing it as close to the end as possible. Damned paint is so finicky.  ;D ;D

In other news, my wee lil airliner figures in 1/144 showed up yesterday. Considering money to weight ratio this is probably the most expensive styrene I've ever purchased about $15.  :o  Neat part is I was looking at the pictures on the playing card sized box and saw 3-4 passengers which I was wondering about the other day (I guess I could have spotted it when I posted the picture but missed it somehow.)   So anyway.... there appears to be an old lady and younger lady and some older dude with a suit, etc. Pretty generic and "timeless" looking attire which is nice because I can use them boarding a DC-3 or at  727 and they won't look out of place. That said, they do look a bit out of place for anything from say, the mid 90's and on.

Should be some more crap show up today. Mail will be here any minute, in fact.

Thanks to Kit's generous support, I now have a brand old 1/144 Revell DC-10 in my possession.  It arrived here with lightning speed and I think it's about to make me break my promise not to start any new projects until I finish off the ones I've already begun...

Speaking of lightning... I also just picked up two boxes (4 kits) of the 1/144 BAC Lightning and one of the T-6 Texan (2 kits) all from Platz.  I also managed to grab the same set of 1/144 airline figures that Brad got his hands on... and another set of Nato pilots/ground crew as well.  They guy at the store said "wow, you really like tiny things..."

He's got that right!
Thanks!

Nice haul!!!

Man but ain't that box of lil figures WEE?!?!  :o :o ;D ;D    I mentioned the other day not getting any new stuff in the mail, but I did... those figures. They snuck in in an envelope.  :o

Little stuff is right...

I kinda like the guy toting the garbage sacks back there.... and the lady. Lady figures are nice, I don't see too many. I sure would like some flight stewardesses and stuff like that. Hell, just being that they're civvie figures is a novelty in my book. I'm wondering if this is the only set of airliner figures or civvie figures they made?  I'd like a bunch of random people, you know, to line up as if they're boarding the old school way at the sky stairs (or whatever they're called).

Preiser do a set of Airline Travelling Crew, set 77102, who are your Captains and cabin crew and a bunch of tourists.

Oh, nice!! I will be keeping my eyes peeled for these!  Thank you!

In other news, my 717 arrived safely, thus my 7x7 Boeing collection is complete!!   Sailboat also here, I paid $8.50 for it and another $5 or 6 for shipping.

Should be more today and something is sitting at the post office. Things that have to be signed for are recently not even being attempted to be delivered. I don't blame the mailman as often times there are barking dogs inside and the post office is close by anyway so I don't mind. I'd rather have to go pick something up than them leave it and some stupid crackhead steal my stuff. Like some crackhead would have any use for United Airlines decals anyway.  ;D
