Only problem with this is the windshield is solid just like the rest of it.  ;D

No problem!! paint/decal the solid windscreen as if it had a folding sunscreen (more T-bird merchandise) displayed.
Now there's a grand idea!! I'll definitely give that a whirl and see how it goes. Barring that, I'll paint on a cartoon-like sky blue windshield with white diagonal stripes as "glare." Or something... paint "reflected scenery" maybe. I like your idea better though and sounds neat to try if my skills are up to task. I almost want to start on it immediately because it's "new" to be working on a car for a change!

I like that! Nice lil model and the windshield painted blue-with-glare idea is good.

Thanks! Simple enough and should work well if I can't manage a more thought-out "decoration." Looking forward to building this. It's been many many years since I built an automobile and at that I never made one in THIS scale. Neat stuff!

1/72 2009-Present Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab from Shapeways, tad expensive but I was spoiling myself

https://www.shapeways.com/product/5HBKBCR55/1-72-2009-present-dodge-ram-crew-cab-kit?optionId=64411575&li=marketplace

Wow, that is amazing! These 3d printers are getting to be quite sophisticated versus what I saw years ago on tech shows and the like.   :o

Shapeways also does "custom" stuff too, right? I seem to recall hearing of people sending in "plans" for things and having the subject made and shipped back.

At first I thought someone mailed me an empty box!! It was so light and made no noise. (I always be shakin' my boxes even though I shouldn't.  I just can't help myself.  ;D )  Then it hit me what it was... and sure enough:

This will be made into a USAF Thunderbirds "prop" and painted and decalled with Thunderbirds stuff. I'm going to line up a ton of it all in 1/72 including what-ifs and real ones alike. So far, in the real stuff, all I have left is a C-123 Provider and the F-16.

Only problem with this is the windshield is solid just like the rest of it.  ;D
Brad,
If you want them, I have 4 sheets of 1/72nd scale Thunderbirds decals, 2 for the F-16, 1 for the F-4 and 1 for the F-100. If any of them are of ue to you let me know.

HOO WEE! That would be cool. I plan to make a whole slew of Thunderbirds whifs so I need all of 'em I can get my hands on to be honest.

Can't wait to see what the Thunderbirds MiG 29 looks like.

If'n no trouble, I'll gladly take them off your hands.

Well I'm glad someone got one ! Been after one of these for years myself, just never seem to see them anywhere on the web! I'd pay up to £25 for one if I could or swap the wife + cash if they'd agree (cash part being £24.95).

And speaking of holy grail kits, technically ordered in 2017 but arriving today from the US and costing US$30 + 15 postage, one of my holy grail kits (it's tiny !)

Shapeways only does custom stuff: they are a marketplace where designers can upload their CAD drawings, Shapeways prints them and fulfills orders. I've been doing that for a few years now.

You do realise the trouble you are in if the good lady sees that ?  ;)

Been into Bolton this morning to fuel up and get the shopping in and just happened to cross the road to the local model shop (mostly R/C but does diecast, trains and models too) and snagged another pair of Airfix Phantom FG1's. always nice to get form your LMS

I went into my LHS yesterday to buy some evergreen tube and some glue and left with...

...some evergreen tube and some glue.

Mind you, when I got home I did order some PE instrument panels and a Frogfoot from my favourite online store.
