From Hannants this week:-

1/72 Xtradecal Phantom FG1 stencil sheets x 2
1/72 PJ Productions RAF 70s pilots twin pack x 2
1/72 Academy F-4J Phantom
1/72 Airfix Phantom FG1 x 2

The Academy kit is to gauge what the missing intake vents are like as the Fujimi versions are rather crude.
The Pilots are for manned Airfix Phantoms, kinda need aircrew if doing Hot to trot configuration
The Stencil sheets are actually for the older Fujimi Phantom kits with their dodgy silvering decals and i suspect they were the ones i suggested to RAM models to do with their early F-4K/M decals sheets as i know Jon Freeman did both. They are handy as they include the Underwind serials and the RN 4 inch white serial latters and numbers to do any of the British Phantoms including the cancelled ones without pulling your hair out cutting them out of the block printed modeldecal sheets.

Nice tip about the stencil sheet, think I will be ordering a couple of those too

Odd, I have the one with all the guns and I was looking at it yesterday thinking "that's so complicated.  Far too much going on there for it to work well in battle".

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It is, even though the weapon layout is legit. Nose and tail guns appear plausible (even though I cannot fathom the reasons for trading a wobbly 20mm gun for four(!) fixed 30mm cannon?), but I do not understand the twin-MK 103 firing back- and upwards, with a highly (AFAIK a mere 10°) restricted field of fire?  The thing looks menacing though, even though the Revell kit has a major flaw: the engine nacelles are wrong, they should sit further back (with more of the rear end protruding from the trailing edge), for CG reasons.

From Uncle Frank:

AZ Aero C3A (aka Siebel Si 204D)
Special Hobby Avia C-2 (aka Ar 96B)

And ebay has told me I've won:
4 part started Spitfires and a Matchbox Fiat G-91
Ventura Spitfire PR19 (I know, I know - I've more than enough of these, let alone the Airfix and MPM ones - it was force of habit and the same seller had a Ventura PRXI, which I did want.  And didn't win...)
Fly AW Whitley - this is the earlier Tiger engined one.

A swap done with one of the guys on Britmodeller has netted me an AZ Spitfire F.XIVe lowback in exchange for an AZ Bf 109G-6 that I was unlikely to build.
