Wandered into my LHS (20 miles away in Gloucester) which is an occasion that only happens maybe 4-5 times/yr, looking for some bits and pieces, glue, paint etc.

To my utter amazement there on the shelves was a 1/24 AMT Sunbeam Tiger kit!!!!!!  :o :o

I've got one of the Blueprinter series of this kit from way back when, and I'd built an original one even further ago, but seeing a NEW one blew my mind. It seems it's by a company called 'Round2', who I've never heard of before, and it seems they've bought up loads of AMT, MPC, Auto World and other moulds and are re-popping them. Their web site is WELL worth looking at for the car modellers amongst us, but they also do some Lindberg non-car stuff too.

Needless to say the LHS no longer has the Tiger kit, I've got it.  ;D

The personal link is I worked on the early prototypes of the Tiger in the mid 60s, one superb motor car.

Yeah - Round 2, formerly Polar Lights; they took that name, IIRC, as they originally started repoping the old Aurora stuff.
They've since expanded into other old stuff, and started their own kits too.

Lots of lovely NEW 1/1000 & 1/2500 Star Trek kits...

Ahah, thanks for that. I'll keep an eye out for their stuff.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Jeepers, what a complex family tree!

I'm only grateful that some of the iconic car kits of way back are still available now. I've been ogling over my Tiger since I bought it, for some reason it seems more a 'real kit' than the identical Blueprinter version that I have.  ;D ;)

Ahh, Nostalgia. I remember it well.

Although I usually find Nostalgia isn't what it used to be...

OK, OK - hat, coat, door..  ;D

Interesting to see Ertl started off with tractors. Didn't Airfix ? and at around the same time ?

I've got some fond memories of those old Aurora monster models
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Airfix's first injection moulded plastic kit was the Massey-Ferguson tractor, yes. Now worth a small fortune I expect.

Don't know what I was thinking at the Hanslope show today but these are rare kits and interested me so.....

1/48 resin EADS Mako. Goes for £20 on Ebay.
1/48 resin early F-35 design, £35 on Ebay.

For both kits and stands I paid £30.

Darn it, I always forget how early the Hanslope event is each year.  :banghead:

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

For me this is a "Stash Do Over" since I sold off the previous massive one after I got out of modeling in 2012.

I'm starting over, and here are the acquisitions over the past two months or so.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....
