Ebay says I've won an AZ Seafang F.32.  This is the reboxed rerelease of their 2011 kit with some nice shiny new FAA decals for whiffed in-service aircraft.

Only Australia Post could turn a 5 day delivery time into an 11 day delivery time overnight! ::)

I blame Fred & outsourcing to zenrat industries.

To compensate I went to the local Toy World to see what over-priced kits they had available. Not a lot, stock level has dropped, but I did find one kit down from $119 to $59. So I grabbed it.

1 x HobbyBoss 1/48 TBM-3 Avenger (will be RAN, tossing up between the available options of torpedo, bombs & long-range tank in the torpedo bay)

Not a huge saving from what I could get it for online from BNA Models (if they had it in stock) but $20 in my pocket is $20 in my pocket.

Or, use a 911...

Today I received one of these from Modelnerds.

Not a "Box Art & Font" boxing but I had a desire to get one quickly to build this by Panther G...

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Nice scheme, although I suspect the Extra Dark Sea grey would continue under the wing roots to maintain a straight line or be raised higher to  cockpit level and above the tail planes to create a straight line.

Agreed - the only high-wing jet they've had in real life is the Sea Harrier and that had the dark grey under the wing roots and a straight demarcation line.

Also, by the time period they'd likely have been getting the Crusader, the undersides would have been white, not sky.

In which time line did the RAN FAA have Sea Harriers H?  ;D

I am partial to a high demarkation line but I might just paint this exactly how PGs drawn it.

Heh heh.
But thank you.  The Sea harrier is one I hadn't thought of to do in RAN FAA markings until now.

People in the UK always moan about Royal Mail but when compared to a lot of the worlds postal systems they are preaty good. Relatively small area to cover, but then so have some of their continental cousins  ;)

Nice buys The Chaos  I'd never seen those 1/72 "Panzer Projects" before until the Huddersfield show last Sunday. Very nearly succumbed.
