They will get RCAF Snowbird decals on them, I had asked CanMilAir Decals to do them up for me and I think he still has them on his website.

Here's the other pics of the airshow sequence (one day I'll get them finished, been packed away for a while now when I house moved)

I love it!  They're going to be gorgeous!!  What a wonderful idea and lil planes like this look so good in the bright colors. You should fast-track this project, Robert!!    ;)

One of the bits of transfers that came with the LS kit is reminiscent of USAF Thunderbirds stuff and I'm mighty tempted to attempt one that would be an actual Thunderbirds livery . This would be a long ways off if it happens at all but it's a thought.

Some nutcase has a BD-5 (not a -J) with Thunderbirds markings and a fake F-100 nose intake on it!  ;D

My second one of these. It is missing a couple pieces of the paper work but my other has all of that. This one, however, has a sealed parts bag and no plastic missing whereas I believe the other one I have is missing the little boat and divers.

One of these days I'll find the old boxing of their boat.

I have half an LS BD-5 double kit built, but as I didn't have a Hobbycraft Arrow I had to 'shrink' my available pilot to fit. The plan was to have a little diorama of the BD-5J flying inverted over the V-tailed prototype, but I've not managed to finish the prototype yet.  :banghead:

I'll post a pic when I get home on Wed or so.

Nor is the 'Big Book' Brad, I've found numerous errors or just missed information. But the author was trying to be thorough as the book was an attempt to list every plastic kit (resin and vacuforms too) produced since they started making plastic kits (just before WWII). We could find out that the Revell kit was a re-box of the Otaki one.

I think it is otherwise we would have two missing moulds.

There's always the new Roden kit these days

I'll hook the kit out this weekend and take a couple of pics of the box and the bits in it, but I think it's a recent release (re-release)

Well I decided to go looking for the kit and I found it (after looking through 11 moving boxes for it)

It's not a recent boxing, the instruction sheet says Revell 1983.

Here's the box

Opening the box I find I've put another C-5 kit in the box, it's 1/480 Academy kit

But look what it says on one of the sprues, we've found an error in the 'Big Book'

You'll probably find Revell have the moulds for it Geoff.

Good stuff; no mystery any more and the lil one is a nice "bonus" as it were. I built that one a few months back and it turns into a pretty cool model!

You should throw that "big" one together. . .

So much of the oft quoted 'rumour' that the Otaki C-5 moulds had been destroyed in a fire, or sunk at sea etc.............

Well either Revell have them or Testors does, as the Big Book says Testors reboxed the Revell kit.
