Back from the Hinkley show with some new additions to the stash.

Eduard 1/72 MiG 21MF...

And?  What's it like?
Look good?

It's Eduard.  That should tell you everything you need to know.

I know Lee but they are all sold out here so I want a bit of remote gratification.
Come on Chris, tell me how great it is...

Surely scanning the sprues on the Eduard website would do the trick?

From Home Bargains
20x Spitfire mk Ia starter sets.  I am now replete with enough Spitfire mk Is to last a good few years.

So how many stores did you have to visit to accumulate that load ?

The MIG's a nice kit, but I'd be interested in your views on this one Chris

Just the one!  And they still had another 40 or so left on the shelves.  I'm not that greedy.

On second thoughts, do I really have enough?  Mustn't be feeling too good...

I deliberately didn't assume it was one store, because I thought "no way". Was it self checkout or did you give a check-out operator a bit of a surprise ?  ;)

No Spitfires in Hereford  and a manager told me "They haven't sent us any, but they are selling well in the northern stores"

I didn't take them all out in one go - a batch of five, an agent procured another 6 and I bought the final 14 on sunday.

From Brad C I today received an Airfix Fokker F-27 Friendship.  It's the 2008 repop with decals for TAA and two other airlines.

I am thinking the TAA decals might look good adapted to a Skyvan.

Or maybe a Beverley...........  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Sure wish I had one of those!! Oh wait!   ;D ;D ;D

I thought it was a really nice kit! Those transfers are glorious.

I'm going to buy one one of these days but I'm going down a notch to 1/144 so it can reside with the rest of them (civil/airliners) I've started building/buying.
