The Big Gimper

Enroute from England to that rogue colony which invented Hawaiian Pizza.

Bought off the Bay of Evilness. This was on the "Holy Grail" list as it has been long OOP.

It completes my X-24 family (A, B and C).

Now you're on a list!  :wacko: ;D ;D ;D :thumbsup:

I do often wonder about that ? Seriously................................ :angel:
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

TheChronicOne

I do too. Ever so often I'll google something and it strikes me that the NSA probably got a copy of the ordeal.

I have a nasty feeling that Gannet boxing is the very old tool Frog kit rather than the rather nice new tool Revell did

Uh oh!  I was kind of wondering about the kit. I snagged it because it was $5 and figured if it comes down to it I can just mangle it all to hell and call it a whif.  ;D ;D   I'd normally try to do at least some cursory research on something before buying it but I figured for a fiver I could just get it and figure it out all later. For all I know the box is full of sawdust.  ;D

EDIT: It is.  ;D ;D ;D   This thing is hilarious!! The pilots are molded in the cockpit as part of the fuselage halves!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yes, many of the old FROG kits were like that.

There used to be quite a range of add-on bits for that kit to get it slightly more 'modern', but since Revell bought out their own moulding they're not so available any more.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

I'll survive. So long as it isn't too enormous of a headache build wise I won't mind. I love these old kits... I bet it looks great all painted and finished. Hell, I've been working on short run kits and things like Amodel and RS models and F-rsin stuff which is all very beastly compared to "normal" mainstream kits so how much of a hassle can it be?  I'll whif it into something and have a grand time, concrete encase pilots and all!  ;D :lol: :mellow:

It is a beast, isn't it? It will look awesome sitting beside the SR.53 and SR.177.

A recent exchange between another member of this forum and myself went something like this;

"I put your bombs in the post".
"Thanks Fred, i'll get the guns packed up and off to you Monday".
