My recently purchased Italeri Tornado F3 just arrived. Pretty fast considering it was shipped 2nd class.  :thumbsup:

I bought two tubes of green stuff puty and a pair of well played plastic 1/24 Jaguar E types.
Although these are toys they would be ideal for whiffing.

Nope.  Pine Gap is a US facility.  Try Geraldton in WA which is where the Defence Signals Directorate have a large downstation for listening into certain countries to our north's communications.  ;)

As I was exchanging messages with a US citizen then they prolly both took note...

today I recieved a visit from the AFP a parcel from Kit Form Services ( http://www.kitformservices.com ) which took only 6 days door to door.  I can't recommend them highly enough and only wish I was earning enough to afford one of their 1/24 Stalwarts.
It contained two Lightweight Chain Stretcher Kits (AKA Lever Dogs).  1/24 but they'll work as heavy duty dogs in 1/35 to chain the D9 to the Kraz low loader...

...and two 1/24 resin single drum winches.

Mmm, a bit big for 1/35.  I once saw a Senior WO get knocked nearly unconscious when he failed to secure the lever arm of a chain dog on a truck load one afternoon.   He pulled it tight and then failed to secure it with some fencing wire.  He turned away distracted for a moment and it flicked open again, hitting him on the side of his head with a glancing blow.   He fell off the truck and hit the ground, luckily he was so loose that he didn't break anything.   From then on, he made sure that he always secured the dog with some fencing wire before he turned away from it.  He was lucky it only gave him a glancing blow 'cause it could have staved his skull in if he he'd got a heavy hit from it.   :banghead:

#1136
Nah, they'll be fine.  They're extra big zi specials for heavy loads.  Also, I can't find any in 1/35.
The truckies shifting our earthmoving plant used them all the time but I can't remember them ever wiring them closed.  Most of then did used to flick them open from a distance with a metal bar though.

Had a training course today so I went and paid a visit to one of the city hobby shops in its new home.
It has less shelf space than the old one so less models on display.
I got some paints for the BA3 and these;

Vega Gull has Belgian, RNZAF, RAF and Argentinian markings (last two being the same aircraft).  I'll prolly do it as a civilian.

The Wooksta!

It's just come out.  Been watching the thread on the development on Britmodeller.  John Adams has had a hand in the design, so it's bang on.  They do a Proctor as well in Czech markings.

Previous kits?  Some resin company - I forget which - did one a few years back.  I picked one up in the Kit Swap at Telford.
