It's just come out.  Been watching the thread on the development on Britmodeller.  John Adams has had a hand in the design, so it's bang on.  They do a Proctor as well in Czech markings.

Good to see John's keeping his hand in, he's a MASTER model maker for sure.

Interesting to compare it with a FROG Proctor kit, like night and day I bet.  ;D

It looks very nice.  I'm tempted to dive straight in and build it next.

Seen a couple of reviews of the Vega and they've been good

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Sure does!

I have one in the stash, somewhere, & they're pretty cheap for an, admittedly, old but still decent kit.

As it's now finally arrived, I can reveal what the third Blake's 7 item is:

A 3d printed Scorpio, from the final series.

It's finally arrived and for some odd reason, there was two in the box!  Result!  I was going to buy a second anyway to do a sister ship (the Gemini) from my unfinished PGP.

It's got a few flaws - the distinctive open bays on the dorsal engine section are missing, the exhaust section is solid and there's no comms antennae, but for the price (like the Pursuit Ship, 30 notes) and the fact I got two, I'm not arguing!  Besides, as I'm doing a sister ship which has been re-engined, the lake of those cutouts is a bonus.

Indeed.  The jeep was half the price of the Percival.

Kit 72003 DW 72003 - Percival Proctor I in Czechoslovak Service is the
same as  the Vega Gull kit except for details like the different nose intakes,
which are on the sprues in all versions as all use the same mouldings, makes
sense as a Proctor I is basically a Vega Gull.

Wonderful, I must get one of those.

I flew in an RAF Proctor many years ago, and the FROG one that I have always looked wrong somehow when I wanted to build it, but that one looks terrific.

[Later] Checking back, it must have been an EX-RAF Proctor as they went out of service before I'd even flown at all. I can't figure out how that came about now.  :o

I'm watching one on evil-bay.

I would have preferred the civilian Vega Gull but the shop only had the military version.

A can of Rover Inca Yellow paint, which happens to be a close match for RAF Trainer Yellow. Very handy if you're building a Whiffed RAF Trainer, like a Venom T5 for instance..........  ;)

Google gives me Kiwi Resin Models and Omega Models.

It looks very nice.  I'm tempted to dive straight in and build it next.

Sure my resin one is the Omega kit.

Halfords Fiat Broom Yellow is best for RAF Yellow.  I've been using it for years.

Scorpio is now in my grubby mitts - I'd only had a cursory glance in the box t'other day - and the reason for the second kit is that it's a dodgy print.  Some of the thing is way out of alignment, so it'll be a testbed of sorts.

Still, other than the few flaws I outlined earlier, it looks to be bang on shapewise.  Very happy with it. I did locate a trader online with several ex-Titan Find kits but they don't look right either - the surface detailing looks way too heavy whereas this one is actually quite subtle.  Not to mention a third the price and available in the UK.

If only it wasn't a quite such vibrant yellow...

Maybe it's the trainer variant?  ;D
