Yes, it does look to have a face. You guys are right.

Lots of people know Mickey Mouse, how many know Roden Rat?

I don't think I could ever top those magnificent ears so I had to stop short, sadly.

Two more of the S&M 'box less' issue of the Minicraft 1/144 DC8-63 from the Big H.

I've really got into that kit having started the 'Calder 8' and the 'Super Stretch', and I have 'plans' for the other two.  ;D ;)

There was a wooden mock up with the wings at shoulder height, can't remember where I saw it.

1/144 Minicraft Boeing 314 Clipper. Now if only someone made the Boeing 247 in 1/144, lol!

Ooohhh, I didn't know they did one! Thanks for the tip.

Presumably it's better than the ancient Airfix one?

Maybe, didn't build the Airfix one, but I would think so.

Correction, it IS the Airfix one

Well that's something new, I didn't know Airfix subbed out their moulds. I know they did the opposite, like their Horsa and Dak were Italeri moulds, but not the other way round.

No, it's not a Minicraft, it's a classic Airfix, lol

Also, on the way in is a dual kit 1/144 T-6G Texan/Harvard. My dad gets one and I get the other. It's specifically for my idea for the Racing GB, as a USCG SNJ-3 Racer, the Israeli decals on the sheet are going on a Sweets 1/144 Hurricane Mk.I.

Oh, cool - that saves me wondering whether I can afford one, as I already have ESCI & Italeri Daks in t'stash... along with an old Airfix one I'm not sure what to do with...

Cheers

Minicraft bought a run of the Airfix 314 sprues and released it with new
decals and a different box. All of their stuff is moulded by other firms.

Captain Canada

Went to IPMS Austin show just like I did 8 years ago....met up with Scooterman and RotorheadTX again too ! Cheers guys !

Walked out with an old US Airfix Lancia Stratos, and aLife-Like Hobby Kits 1:16 Yamaha Daytona Racer, as well as Bobby and Davey Allison kits.

Nice. Austin is ALMOST within range of being a place I could travel to, but not quite. Even though we're neighbor states that still something like a 10 hour drive.  :o ;D
