The Wooksta!

My Telford acquisitions:
1 Airfix Lightning F6
2 x Alleycat Lightning F1/F3 conversion kit (£4 each in the kitswap!)
1 Sword Lightning T4
1 Fujimi Vought Cutlass- I've been wanting to do an RN one
1 Skybirds DH Hornet - it threw itself at me, honest!  I don't go looking for them!
1 Mach 2 DH Comet 4C - see my comments re the kits accuracy in the relevant Mach Poo thread
1 Matchbox Tempest II/VI
1 Novo Bristol 138 - but that's being sold on to a mate.

And the Spitfires/Plan items
1 AZ Spitfire Tr.VIII
1 AZ Spitfire Tr.9
2 AZ Spitfire Tr.9 "Modern Warbirds" - one of the options is covered in poppies and there's about a hundred individual poppies on the decal sheet to place!
1 AZ Spitfire VII, but sold without the canopy, so I'm going to use it as a wing donor for the Tr.VIII and cobble together a complete 9 from the remainder of the kit and the spares box.
1 AZ Spitfire mk VIII
1 Eduard Spitfire mk IXe profipack
1 Eduard Spitfire mk IX "Royal Combo" - Kitswap bargain of the weekend at £25!
13 Heller Spitfire XVIes, 9 of which were part assembled on the stand over the course of the weekend.
1 Airmodel Spiteful F.14 (reboxed Czech resin kit) - I'll be building this one and the one I picked up some years back will remain safe in the stash.  It was a bargain as when I opened the box, there was a fuselage and a solitary wing from an Airkit F21!  I have moulds for all the other bits from the kit and a set of C wings that Airkit did to go with the Airfix Vb and I know they'll fit, so it'll be the only Airkit Spitfire XIVc when it's done!
1 Novo Supermarine Attacker
1 Ventura Spitfire mk IXc (Norwegian boxing - I think I've only got the one, so the spare decals will be handy)
1 CMR Spitfire mk VII
2 x Freightdog Seafire Ib

From Kitbasher:
MPM Spitfire PR.XI
AZ Spitfire mk VIII

Decals
Avalon Spitfire mk I - 5 options, including one from RAF Acklington.  I'll be doing that one straight and I think I've one already built in the "Cabinet of Doom" that may well fit the bill.  I went back and got a second sheet after that for a mate, plus a spare for... well, look, do I need a reason?
Avalon HP Hamden
Blackbird Royal Navy Pt1 - has a Seafire one it.  I got a few other Blackbird sheets, but can't remember what was on them other than one had a Lancastrian (Geoff got the Coastal Command yellow eggwhisk of it  as I've zero use for it), another had a yellow sided Spitfire and another had a Mosquito.  All I think are post war aircraft.
Aviation USK Spitfire sheet - three options and comment on the sheet about building an accurate Spitfire IX caused me some hilarity.

Looks a lot but compared to previous years, an exercise in modest restraint.

Thanks for that.
Would you believe, not one of my regular searches for Tr.9's threw one that up!  :banghead:

NARSES2

A bit late, but I was absolutely knackered on returning from Telford Monday and I had some "real life" catching up to do yesterday.

Anyway Telford kits haul was :-

AZ Models Bf Me 109K-14. Didn't realise they's actually built the K-14 until Lee told me and then checking once I got home found 2 had seen service. Looks a bit different, especially with the 4 bladed prop, and AZ have boxed it with 3 nice "What If" schemes

Special Hobby 1/72 Blohm & Voss BV 155V1. Took my fancy after a nice chat with one of the lads on their stand

Freightdog 1/72 Seafire Mk Ib

And finally kit wise 1/32 Wingnut Wings Junkers D.1 Been looking at these and wondering if what people said was true. Finally decided that a) as it was a monoplane, b) it was what I considered a fair price and c) it was direct from then at the show I'd take the plunge. Looking at it in the box it does look stunninig. Guy on their stand, who'd built the one on display, reckoned that as there was almost zero rigging it could be built in 3 days  :o We shall see, or not  ;)

On the "bits and bobs" front, purchases were.

A nice "point" brush selection for £5.
Some PPP, now in a more traditional tube after they've listened to their customers.
Blackbird Models 1/72 unspatted Stuka undercarriage.
Hataka WWII Italian AF paint set Vol 1. This is for the ANR 1943 to 1945.
Squadron Green Stuff
Humbrol acrylic brush primer

Not much, but it had to be carted home on the train so I was quite happy

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

From BNA Model World;

Print Scale 1/72 decals - Regia Aeronautica Sicilia 1941.  Basically black splotch camo decals to put on over a base coat of paint.  I can find no photographic evidence of them in use.  Possibly will be used on a Stuka Anton.

1/72 Pavla Hurricane Mk1 resin upgrade set.  3 different props/spinners, drop tanks, 40mm cannons and a Vokes filter.  Bought for the filter as I want to have a go at a Sand & Spaghetti Mk1.

And in a box all the way from Hannants (cheapest postage - took a month less 4 days) I received these.

This one will be RAAF.  Kit has choice of a large bomb (i'm guessing some sort of nuke) or what looks like a camera pod.

La-200B by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr
And this gorgeous creature will be an operational PDRV Republican Guard aircraft.  Kit has one complete Klimov VK-1 (or a Wopen WP-5 or I suppose as a last resort a Rolls Royce Nene) engine which definitely will not be hidden away inside the fuselage.

It is, the French An-11 and 22 nukes were carried semi-recessed in the Mirage IV's fuselage. The recce pod fitted in the same 'dent' under the fuselage too. Nice that they give you the option, the Heller kit only supplied the AN-11 bomb.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I found another 1/200 Revell Boeing SST twin set. They have been painted with the Pan Am decals. The landing gear is damaged on one, but I think I can use spare parts to fix the problem.
I/25 Revell VW T3 Camper. A rare find at a cheap price

McColm

#1513
I didn't think that I would win this on eBay, but it was going cheap.
1/72 Mach2 Avro York C.Mk1.
I know that there are issues with this kit. I have the CMR5136 decals and cockpit details set to go with this.

Just received an email from the seller, he has cancelled the order.
So the Revell Avro Shackleton MR3 will now become the Avro Shackleton C I.
