A liquid cooled rotary (aircraft type, not wankel) engine would be the tricky one to build.
Picture a Sopwith Camel with radiators spinning around as well as the prop and the engine...
:o

Nah, total loss system like the majority of steam locos.  ;D

Now you're talking - a steam rotary with centrifugal coal feeds to the rotating boilers...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The exhaust stream would break new ground in complex contrails, a large diameter spiral of white steam with black coal smoke mixed in as well!!!!  :o :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Coal powered aircraft?   Lippisch designed one.   Info and pictures on the links below.  As to the black and white striped exhaust......it might astonish Newcastle United supporters!!

True, but it didn't leave a spiral contrail.

Just as this one doesn't but it looks superb, a cross between a Triebflugel and an XV-15!

Only problem with a total loss system is that you'd need to carry both fuel and water.   That'd double the weight of the aircraft!   :banghead:

IIRC, the only kit which had Jumo 222 cowlings was the Toad Ju 488 V403.  Even then, they weren't that good, as there were no cooling gills for the radiators and the exhausts were cowled.
