True, the price has put me off wanting one to be honest. I am going to wait until they release their mirage G8 .

:o  :o  I had intended to get both this and the XP-61 but, at that price, I've suddenly lost interest. :-\ . Think I'll wait and see if I can get it cheaper.

Isn't there a Mirage G8 coming from Modelsvit? I have their M4000, and that is quite nice indeed. And expensive.

Anyway - Obviously I have a M G8 from Anigrand as well, and the chance of that ever getting built is rapidly declining when the styrene options are increasing. And that kit wasn't cheap either..  :banghead:

Yup but at least with Anigrand you felt you were getting value for money even if those thoughts were solely based on the chunkiness/weight of the resin   I like Anigrand

Too right, my resin F-15  is from Anigrand and it's SUBSTANTIAL!  :o

My friend John, another IPMS-Seattle/Northwest Scale Modelers member, takes a detailed look at
the kit on his Model Paint Solutions* site. It's kinda rough.

A&A Northrop F-15 first look

*MPS is John's business so, yes, the listings for what he sells interspersed are kinda irritating,
but I give him a pass, especially as he includes a lot of photos of the sprues.
;)

Thanks for those sprue shots Jon, the panel lines and rivet details look a tad on the heavy side, but then I brush paint

I must admit the A & A kits I've seen/have aren't up there with the best when it comes to finese, but they do some interesting subjects and build reasonably well. Value for money is a matter of personal opinion, and long may it remain so

Basler BT-67.  This one had passed me by.

Going for about £40. The Airfix DC-3 is around £30, but the A&A kit is cheaper than that plus the Alley Cat Basler conversion (£17.50)

Some eye catching schemes.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Aaaand guess who's got the Airfix DC-3 plus an AlleyCat conversion.... :banghead:

Oh well, at least I made some of the cost back by selling the unwanted FLIR turret to somebody on here (sorry, can't remember who).

Ive got both the A&A kit plus a couple of allycat sets.

Alec of allycat has said in conversation that A&A must have copied his conversion when tooling the kit. Maybe. Maybe not. Happens all the time in this game.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Britmodeller have an interesting thread on the kit.  There's a guy who maintains DC-3s and Baslers who goes into great detail about the differences in dimensions and nose profiles. The general gist is, don't sweat it as easy aircraft is individual and can even change due to the temperature.

There's a Conroy Tri-Turbo due this year:

Catalogue from A&A's Facebook page. Some of the kits have been mentioned but there's some new ones too.
