Quote from: NARSES2 on February 06, 2023, 06:29:40 AMWell the only one currently with a price tag on Hannants is the Mirage and that comes in at the bottom end of my guess (and a couple of £ cheaper for pre-order)

That's not a bad price, one that I will be paying, sometime.

A&A Models stuff new(ish) in stock at Hannants:

Hawk 200 : £30  Two boxings:

ZG200/ZH200: standard wings (no tip rails) & four prototype schemes. This one has an extra sprue with the plain (no RWR) fin, plus a couple of other parts I can't identify:
https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/AAM7227?result-token=BikFO

ZJ201: 'combat' wings with tip rails, & four other prototype schemes. This one has an extra sprue with more missiles instead of the fin sprue:
https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/AAM7229?result-token=BikFO

Note that the SMURFs (Side-Mounted Under-Root Fins, developed for the Goshawk) and the later fin with an RWR fairing are in both boxings but only used on ZJ201.
The kits include photo-etch and canopy masks.

An Indonesian/Malaysian boxing is TBA.

The Wooksta!

Thirty notes for something the size of the Hawk is extortionate. Good job I have no interest in the type.

Nice to see a new kit of the Hawk 200, but the price tag is a bit steep.  :-\

The latest Airfix Model World (August 2023) has a quick in-box review of the Hawk 200, and they note that the kit's ejection seat is wrong: it's a Martin Baker Mk.4, whereas it should be a Mk.10LH.

Must admit this is the A & A future release that could tempt me. I'm not holding my breath for its release though.

I can see an F-15 in their future then. And I DON'T mean an Eagle either!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Crosskit it with the center pod from a P-61A kit and
you'd have a P-61D.

Yup, be interesting to see how they compare with the Anigrand ones.

Or the Eagles Talon vacforms, both of which I have, and I've even started the Jetmaster, but that was 30--35 yrs ago! They're superb kits for vacforms, but it's a VERY fiddly shape to model in any medium, the landing gear being particularly complex.

But they're such a pre-Whiffed looking aeroplanes!  ;D
