They're superb kits for vacforms, but it's a VERY fiddly shape to model in any medium, the landing gear being particularly complex.

But they're such a pre-Whiffed looking aeroplanes!  ;D
An excellent article about the propeller system of the XB-42.

Fascinating stuff Jon, thanks.

I don't think I'll be building THAT much detail into my Mixmaster though.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

Forget all that small stuff.

Il-76 and An-22 in the one true scale!

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

A 1/72 An-22 has to be MIND blowing! But I'd love one too.

Not so much check the bank account as rob the bank...
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

But have you room in your house to give it longer wings?

The Mauler's out at Hannants, but I'm not paying £31.60 plus postage for it given it's likely to be a "challenging" build. I'd want to take a look at it first, so may have a look at Telford if I see one, but I'm not overly fussed.

I think this is the first time I've looked at a kit I'm interested in, looked at the price and shook my head. Must be getting old, common sense is catching up with me.

That makes two of us!  ;)  ;D.
I lost interest when I saw the price. Might be worth £31.50 if it was a 1/48 kit but, not for 1/72

Very true. Probably save my cash for the Mix and Jet' Masters

Looking at the some of the prices of UK imports now I'm wondering if a trip to one of the continental shows next year, Czech Rep or Netherlands, might be on ? Good weekend away and perhaps some better deals ? Mind you knowing my luck HM Customs would have me as soon as I stepped off the airplane

I've got an A&A Mauler, albeit the late version.  What do you want to know?
