This monster is on sale at Hannants for £18 at the moment:

For those who don't know, it had two, vertically-stacked engines with the top one being fed by the upper nose intakes and exhausting at the tail, while the other was fed from the chin intake and exhausted under the rear fuselage. If you're wondering if there's any angle it looks 'pretty' from, then nope, sorry...

This is the earlier one with a smaller radar and a circular pitot intake:

If I read the sprue plan correctly it comes with the recce pod too.

The IV is, IMO, better looking than the III but not a nice as the F1.

I have a feeling Dassualt may have sold some to the People's Democratic Republic of Victoria.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

She's lovely.
I'm seriously considering one of these.
I get paid this week...

There's already an A&A Models thread here: http://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php/topic,44810.0.html if you feel like merging them...

It's about time for a new Mirage IV...

I did look, so how I missed it is beyond me  :banghead:

Merged.

Ta mate
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

A-Model do the earlier versions too: one with the smaller radar in the middle of the intake and one with it on the top lip.

No problem. I've deleted my above-quoted post because I thought it was making this thread confusing now, since they've been merged.

That really looks to me like something Boulton-Paul or Saro would have cobbled up.

Hmm, £18 you say... B-P Bobcock F(AW).Mk.1...

Perfect!  That's exactly the look.  Blackburn Boomerang NF.Mk.1, intended stop-gap to the Javelin but due to its lower cost and competent performance it served alongside that type and actually outlasted it in service.

You issue a requirement for a research aircraft with staggered tandem jet engines in 1947, English Electric come up with thr P.1 and Blackburn come up with... this.  ;D :o It only gets bought because it has enough room in the nose for a Mosquito-sized radar...

Make the wing look more 'British' by leaving off the fences and adding a row of vortex generators on the outboard upper surfaces instead.

Due to be released in  May, 1/144th scale  C-141A Starlifter. Should be quite a nice  kit if any of their previous  offerings are to go by.

I foresee either a C-141B coming from them soon, or a B Conversion from Colin Freightdog.  ;D

Reminds me I should start building my 1/72 scale Nova B sometime soon................
