Apparently this month's Airfix Model World includes a handy Humbrol paint conversion chart, which includes other main paint brands plus BS, FS, RAL and RLM codes.

Notice we haven't seen any more new paints since the Luftwaffe series  :banghead:

Yes it does, got mine yesterday. Also has the full, current, range on the flip side. I found it slightly strange in this day and age that it specifically says "enamel paint and conversion charts"

Might be for just for subscribers though ? That's the impression I got.

And that some of the sets have gaps... Vietnam SEAC and WW2 USN colours, for example...

It would be nice if they would revive some paints, e. g. 122 (IDF underside blue) or 189 USN Dark Sea Blue. And I hope they get grips on their product quality soon.

I look forward to receiving that in about 3 months...

I bought the Feburary edition of Airfix Modelling World and there was nothing about a paint chart anywhere in or on it  :-\

Ah, but wouldn't the one H just got be the March issue?
I just received my subscription copy of the February 2018 issue.  It has a Tomahawk on the front.

Yup it's the March issue, out now

AMW use a different calendar to all the other magazines  :banghead:

It does mention the paint chart at top of the front cover as being a free gift, so maybe isn't just subscribers only who get it ?

It is in the retail issues too. I bought one at my local newsagents today and it's included.

Mind you, the all encompassing 'plastic bag' took some SERIOUS carving to get it open. It's a MAGAZINE for crying out loud, not a tactical nuclear weapon!!!  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I shall look out for the March Issue, I do like a few of the articles in the February issue though

I forgot to say that it's got a Sea Harrier on the cover.

Thank's Kit, that should narrow it down a bit.

Never a truer word said. I had to get my trusty Swan Morton scalpel with a No. 10 blade to deal with it.

Going even further off topic, I find myself getting very cynical about the present day plastic modelling scene. (Yeah, OK, some of you will be thinking 'Is that actually possible???'  ;D)

In this issue of AMW there are two articles that REALLY got me going. One is a build of Hasegawa's new mould Emily flying boat. This is 1/72 scale so it's about the same size as a Sunderland, and Hasegawa are asking £200 for the kit!

No, I haven't moved the decimal point, that's TWO HUNDRED POUNDS. Not only that, but the builder then spent a further £111 on add-on Eduard bits!  :o :o :o :o During the build he comments that some parts of the engine PE stuff was left off '.....because it wouldn't be seen when finally assembled.....' and then he fills the interior, not just the visible cockpit area, with loads of other PE stuff.

My brain hurts.  :banghead:

The second article concerns a 1/48 Dassault Ouragon kit which is given the now almost expected 'pre-shading' business, which I think is ridiculous if you want to make the model look like a real aircraft and not a toy. Immediately following the build article is one on the real Ouragon, including nine pics of the real thing. Of these only TWO show the slightest sign of a panel line!!!  :-X

When will these people get real?
