Just been reading up on Firestreak for my GB build and Wikipedia mentions a proposed Firestreak Mk 3 with longer wings...

Just add more folds then.  ;D

In a different time frame I would have been an apprentice at de Havillands, so maybe I transferred to dh Propellors and worked on the Mk 3?  ;) ;)

It occurs to me it's somewhat ironic that I'm thinking of making bits of the infra-red guided and SMALLEST missile on this fighter fold up, and at the same time the aircraft's toting a MONSTER radar guided device under each wing that's just hanging out there in the breeze!

I saw a real Red Dean at Cosford last weekend and it's MASSIVE! The thing's around 15 ft long and the top of the wings come chest high on me!  :o

As I've said before, it's almost literally an air-to-air Exocet.

Here's  question for the assembled multitudes, what colour scheme would a Canberra F10 be likely to have during the late 50s-early 60s?

All over High Speed Silver with colourful squadron markings like a big Meteor F8 or a Lightning?

Grey/green camo with light green undersides like later Javelins?

The above but with silver undersides like early Javelins?

Something totally different?

The aircraft was designed to fly at high altitudes, 50-60000 ft so maybe camo wouldn't be needed?

camo ( sky) undersides,  silver tops and colourful markings

you want to hide from the enemy  below, but wont be seen from above, and want the audience to notice you at airshows
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

Hmmm, I rather like that idea, yes.

Not a scheme ever used by the RAF in reality, was it?

There was a Canberra that was used to test radar absorbing paint, all over black -----

Indeed so, not quite what I had in mind though.  ;D ;)

Make it a "retirement" scheme, Kit.  Like my F-117.  ;)   Something colourful and interesting.

The Wooksta!

An 80s one in either Hemp over LAG or any of the toned down Lightning schemes would suit it better, the former especially as people would thing it a PR9...

Here's an idea that feels right to me, though I know it's ahistorical: grey/green cammo on the topsides, and PRU blue on the undersides.

Seems appropriate to be camouflaged against the very dark sky at high altitude when seen from from below, and against the ground when seen from above.

Or how about PRU blue undersides with MSG/slate grey camouflage? (Not forgetting the appropriate Sqn bars in full colour) ;D
Which I believe was an actual Canberra scheme.

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Kit..  I haven't the foggiest if its a real scheme or not     the idea just surfaced in the front of my mind, and I thought it worthy of input.  <_<

I like Lee's idea of Hemp or L.A.G. Perhaps all over P.R.U. Blue or maybe even Sky ? Or one of the Mediterranean Blues ?

Whatever I just think it would suit an overall single colour scheme

Not what you are thinking and it would take forever to paint but just imagine how good it would look in Svenska Flygvapnet Fields and Meadows.
