........... and that concludes the 2018 Whiffie Awards show for another year.

I hope you enjoyed the show and congrats to all of this year's winners as well as a big well done and pat on the back to those nominated. A big thank you also goes out to all you forum members who voted and take part in this process, quite frankly, it keeps me in a job..........

In a few weeks or so, the Academy will be contacting the winners for an email address so that your winner's certificates can be sent on to you. (feel free to forward one on via PM if you wish....)

We look forward to seeing you again for the 2019 Whiffies.

Good night.

Oh..........Wow..........What can I say?

I'm so flattered that the Academy thought so much of my efforts, I'm so embarrassed.

I'd just like to thank all of you, and of course my producers and directors and...............Oh sorry, wrong speech.

I mean I'd like to thank my Mekpak supplier, Thomas Dizzyfugu for supplying the TONS of Presto putty that I had to use, my local hardware shop for the square miles of wet and dry paper, my local Hobbycraft for the plastic beads, my Mum, my Dad, my primary school teachers (all 14 or so of them...) and you for voting for the Monterey and its trolley.

Seriously I'd like to thank the late Mrs_PR19 for putting up with me all the time I was building the Monterey. I couldn't have done it without her, and a couple of times I was going to give up, but she always loved flying boats and it's the first one I've built for years, so she kept on egging me on.

Worthy winners all, and the standard reflects very well on the site and it's members as a whole.

Thanks for hosting and doing all the legwork TC. I know there's no way on Earth I'd have the patience to do it, so believe me when I say it's very much appreciated.

Wow! I am truly in shock! Thank you everybody! Especially philp, tc, all the great whif builders who inhabit this site & all who voted - not just for me but for everyone; Thanks for giving me a reason to get up in the morning, go to work & come home to build models when I can, for inspiring me to come up with more ideas than I'd be able to build in four full life-times & for your encouragement when the mojo wanes!

YOU'RE THE BEST!!!
