I love these 1/72 ICM kits.  Lots of detail, minimal parts clean up (thankfully - they'll be a nightmare when the moulds wear) and go together well.
I got this one from a well known Marsupial forum member.
It will be a Peace Convoy anti war protest vehicle.

So far today I have glued some parts onto the chassis and the wheel halves together.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Now, that's both the 1/72 ICM Ural trucks I bought serving peaceful purposes!

Here's the one I built engaged in suitably peaceful employment with the Wildlife Heritage Intervention Fund;

That reminds me, i need to have a rummage through my stash of little people to see which ones can be made into peaceniks.

I have rainbows in mind and have been googling to get some appropriate images for decals.

Elheim do some likely candidates, depending on how you paint them:

Thanks H.
I have both those sets.  I've painted the blokes up as 70's cops but the girls could become Greenhamgrad Collective Farm Peacenik camp women.

If I painted it pink, what's Russian for Priscilla?
;D

Glued some more bits to the chassis today and put some axles together.

O.K. R = right, L (presuming it is an L) = Left. M = Middle ? or is it a W ??? Wobbly  ;) Seriously I'm intrigued.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I read it as F--front,  M--middle,  R--rear..............but I might be totally wrong.

Spot on.

I felt I needed to keep track of which parts were which as last time I built one of these chassis I managed to get the axles upside down.

Ah right. I miss-read the F as an L  :banghead: Must admit I quite often label small parts, after a few interesting problems in the past  :-\

Actually I've just realised my missunderstanding shows how little I know about the basic layout of any truck or lorry !

One of the good things about these kits is that if I am carefull with the glue I will be able to build it with the rear axles pivoting about the centre of the spring.  This is a good thing because 1) it can then be sat on uneven surfaces and b) if anyone picks it up these parts will move which will unnerve them (the same reason I like my aircraft nose weights to rattle).

Rolling chassis is now together and yes, I did keep glue out of where it shouldn't be and the rear bogie pivots.

Looking at the picture I have realised that some the wheels are on the wrong sides (they are only pushed into place) and I forgot to attach the front hubs and exhaust system.

Started painting the cab like a rainbow today.
As per Rickshaw's request the rear body will be pink(ish).
