Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That's ace - not too over-the-top either, which is just right. If things had got to the Mad Max crazy-barbarians-with-horned-helmets stage then there probably wouldn't be a postal service any more. This is the stage where people are still trying to keep civilization going.

Very, very good!

Possibly just around or a bit after the Mad Max (original) era (or similar), during which people were trying to live normal-ish lives.

Or possibly just before it. Remember, Max was a working cop in the first movie.

That's covered by the "just around" bit. ;)

Nice. I actually like that it is not so Mad-Max-esque, but rather something "practical". Very well done.

Thanks folks.
Zombie apocalypse builds are popular but not my cup of tea as I don't "get" zombies.

What, no Kevin Costner stand in?

I realised, as I finished this, that I haven't got round to watching that.

SWMBO's the zombie nut.  I could care less about the whole genre, although SyFy's ZNation is a much better zombie apocalypse show than The Walking Dead.

I'd avoid it, unless you really want to gouge your eyes out.  Costner is such a hack actor (unless he's got a cast that can carry him), its almost a treat he's basically retired.

I quite like Waterworld.  Although mainly due to Jeanne Tripplehorn and Dennis Hopper.

Same here. I just find the whole thing terminally depressing. The fact that it's so popular though speaks to some very deep modern fears, insecurities and feelings though: there have probably been a hundred psychology papers written about it...

It is however the perfect context for this build, which is what prompted my original comment.

ZNation and iZombie, are both silly fun, the latter's non-Apocalypse storyline is amusing,
unlike the boringly grim, and bloody unlikely survival storyline, Walking Dead.

I find when zombies are involved in a film that is either funny or at least only semi serious I can deal with them. If they are in anything that is allegedly serious I can't see the point, but each to his own as they say.

Mind you I've never been a fan of horror, unlike my dad who was possibly Hammer's biggest fan  ;D
