Can't you spin em up as you approach the combat zone and keep em spinning but not firing until required?

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I had the same thought, but then thought "if they could, they would have.....surely ?"

As to the targets' point of view ... hmmm.  For some reason, those typically aren't taken into account.

Obviously a "special interest group" waiting to be formed and then apply for funding ?  ;)

If I recall correctly, the MAXIMUM rate of fire is 6,000 rounds per minute, but I don't think the ones in use today are running that fast. But I may be wrong.

Wikipedia insists that there are only two ROFs: either 4000rpm or 6000rpm.  I was under the impression that in air combat, the more bullets one could fling at the target, the better ... hence the eight guns of the RAF fighters in WWII.

In other news, I have discovered that canopies from the P-51, Tempest, and Bearcat will not work on the Cutlass - not tall enough.  Given that the pilot is basically waist-up out of the cockpit, I guess I shouldn't be surprized.  No-one, it seems, makes a replacement canopy for the Cutlass, unless I buy a whole vac-form kit.  Does anyone have any ideas?  If not, I'm going to just going to say a bad word and use the kit's pebbly one, and be grumpy about it.

So there.    :-\ :-\

Add some strips to the bottom of the donor canopy?

Mm - might could work, but me, model glue, and clear plastic always seem to combine into a train-wreck of finger-prints, crazing, and really bad language.

Use Clearfix or similar to attach the clear parts to the new frame ? You can then clean any mess up with warm water and a cotton bud.

Finally it's done.  I'm still working on the back story, and am a bit stuck for a stand, but that's all in the works.  Once that's sorted, it's off to the display case, and on to the next model!  :)

Snowtrooper

Looks like a natural development. The blending of the J79's is subtle enough to stay unnoticed, until you see the burner cans

Steel Penguin

looks ace
