There's an interesting article in the April issue of Aeroplane Monthly about the US Air Force using B-26C Invaders testing infra-red technology during the Korean War.
The Invaders were fitted with the
AN/AAS-1 infra-red detector developed by Bell Sound Systems.
The first experimental infra-red system was  installed in a B-17 Flying Fortress.
I will have to check and see if there's an extended photo-reconnaissance nose section available or scratch build from my spares boxes.

The 1/72 Mach2 B-45 Tornado has the parts to make the extended nose, as you could use the B45A and RB-45C  marked for the two variants.
