S.55. But £64 at Hannants.  I'll need to steal one. :police:
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

PR19_Kit

Is that the same kit as the original Delta SM.55?

I've had one of those for AGES, and it wasn't anywhere near £64, more like 1/4 of that price!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

$AU 99.  I can wait.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

And a couple of 1/48th KingCobras, including an interesting two-seater:
I discover this topic today, and - thanks! - the Kingcoba trainer is interesting yes, I will draw such a Mustang.

I've one somewhere in the stash and I hope this isn't a re-pop at that price
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

No, it's a completely new kit of the S.55A, which is quite different from
the version in the Delta kit.

It includes markings for Jahu, the only S.55 still existing.

Was going to get some of those S-55's but 64 quid is crazy. I need to eat and pay bills so no thanks. Pricing has gone totally beyond my comfort zone so I've slowed down buying massively. Going to buy from bargain bins/sales only from now on. Think I'll have to scratch bash something that looks a bit S-55ish instead.

On the bench.
1/72 Space 1999 Eagle, Comet Miniatures Martian War Machine
1/72nd Quad Tilt Rotor, 1/144th V/STOL E2 Hawkeye (stalled)

I agree, I barely buy anything at the moment, too much money that I don't have.

Looking at that shot, it struck me that the S-55 is basically a flying wing.  If the price was (much) lower, it'd be worth bashing it into 1/144 or a 1/288 behemoth.

It is, and in 1/72 model form the wing area is GINORMOUS!  :o

I should Whiff mine into something 'different', perhaps with two Merlins on the roof? And turrets............  ;)

In separate nacelles with pusher props, similar to the tri-motor S.66.

That looks pretty detailed, a zillion times more than the old FROG kit.

Some people on that thread don't seem to know much about the FD2 though. Some bloke wants it to be the 'purplish Speed record Holder'.......

The 'purplish one', WG777 DIDN'T hold the record, that was WG774 which is now the BAC221.

He's right though, it carried the titles.

PR19_Kit

It may well have carried the titles, but it didn't break the record.
