It doesn't need a purpose, it looks so good, just that it exists is enough for our admiration.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Wow! That's philosophical! Kant school with just a touch of good old Plato?
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Me, philosophical? Yeah, right............  ;D

There are those amongst the UK Whiff SIG community, those who know me well, who will be having hysterics at this point.  ;D ;D ;D

If you build it they will buy it?  Your idea of a better mouse-trap, Kit?  ;)

I do know that the Germans almost never built a single-use aircraft - IIRC even their night-fighters had to have a bomb-carrying capability - and even insisted that most of their aircraft be capable of dive-bombing.  I think even their 4-engine twin-prop bomber was required to be strengthened for dive-bombing - I wouldn't care to be the aircrew for that!

Back to topic, though - why not a recon/pathfinder aircraft?  It could carry a few target-marking incendiaries or smoke rockets without adversely affecting its performance, and the turret provides some protection.  :)

Where am I going?  And why am I in a handbasket?

Now most PSR is done, it's time for some check shots before the colors are sprayed on.

I could resist to dig up a BV141 I built 150 years ago. Clearly the BV141 is derelict and possibly will find a new live as Whif one day.

Neat comparison ---
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

It's wholly logical that the Bristol should be the 'opposite hand drive' from the Bv-141 of course.  ;D ;)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

This is so marvellous!

Beat me to it, my thoughts exactly  ;D

Does look good
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That looks really good - has me thinking of what I can make that's similar without 'infringing on your idea', if you take my meaning.  :)

Thank you Gentlemen! your so kind!

@Scotaidh: your completely welcome even with infringement of the idea!

Today I replaced the gun in the turret for a more purposefull looking shootapparatus... Also started to sort out the gear arrangement. Rear is no problem, but the front is more complex then hoped for. Oh well, I guess the same arrangement as the BV 141...

Just had a vision of a cartoon: Bristol 142m-2 comes out of a cloud and finds itself to the left of a Bv.141. Both tail gunners are shouting in unison:

"GET ON THE OTHER SIDE! GET ON THE OTHER SIDE!"

To be fair the German Gunner would be shouting:

"GEH AUF DIE ANDERE SEITE! GEH AUF DIE ANDERE SEITE!"
"Mind that bus." "What bus?" *SPLAT!*
