Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Here I was, not paying attention and thinking "just a simple paint whiff".

Very good Dizz.  Once again the final product looks like it came out of a box.

Thanks a lot for the positive feedback! Highly appreciated.

;D ;D ;D

That's awesome!!!  I wonder how long before someone posts this around and starts asking where to find the kit.

As a side note, people are already posting this various places without giving credit!  Saw someone put it on the "What if Modellers" page on facebook and didn't even say a word at all, let alone give credit.  :o

Well done conversion. I'm amazed how well these parts went together. It doesn't look like it took a ton of putty either.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Well, I cannot prevent that, since the internet is a free space and anybody who puts things up there must be aware that it is accessible, with more or less effort. I am not part of facebook, but I noticed a rise in traffic from this source at FlickR, where I host my pics
I am not against re-posting or linking pictures, and appreciate it when people ask or (even) give public credit. For instance, somebody who has a gallery at deviantart contacted me and asked if using my material with source info was O.K., and that was and is O.K.
As long as the original source link to FlickR is intact, it's also O.K. I just get p!ssed off when the pics are downloaded and re-uploaded without any link. Had this several times, e .g. with pictures appearing in a really dull naz! Luft '46 video on Youtube, somebody at Flickr had re-uploaded material in his photostream without any comment or contacting me and I have even found some of my pics captured by (Asian) ebay sellers. (*sigh*)

Anyway, glad you like the model and the "artwork".  ;D

You should put that on Scalemates Dizz...

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

A little late to the fun here but I also like to have a go on saying how brilliantly done this bushwhacker is.
It really looks as if it is just a regular ordinary British plane and you indeed built it out of the box. And that is absolutely meant as a compliment. The plane itself is not that extraordinary in shape and appearance and that is just what makes it so utterly credible as a real plane.
Fantastic job. And the boxart is of course great, too. Your kitbashery is monumental. Thanks for sharing, Dizzy!

Ahh ok!! It did indeed link to your Flickr so it's all good then!!  Cool. I didn't really think about that at first. I'm sure the fella who posted it meant well then. I can see the difference for sure and I think I'm like you... one would definitely bother but the other likely would not in most instances.

Really nice job, there, Dizzy!  Mr. Kosmonaut said it better than I could, so I'm shamelessly quoting him.  :)  I will add that I've always been gob-smacked by a) your sheer volume of work; b) the excellence with which you craft them; and c) your 'photoshoppery' (if I may be allowed a Nixonism) skills.  All three of these areas are so far in advance of my own that I can only marvel at your creations, and hope to someday come close.

My own thoughts, such as they were, on making a Strikemaster into a single-seater had run only to having an off-set canopy, similar to the Sea Vixen's - I never thought of using a completely different fuselage!  Well done, indeed, sir!

I only wish it was a kit - I'd buy several, as the Strikemaster is one of my favourite aircraft.  :)

Congratulations, Dizzy on a most convincing and well done build!  Every part, storyline and all is just perfect.

Best regards,

TallEng

Lovely job dizzy  as usual <_<
My only observation would be that I find the fin to tall.
However I'd be a fine one to make such a remark considering my pre-Strikemaster, Strikemaster hasn't got a wheel to stand on, and is likely to remain in such a state for the forseable future. (Real life, outdoor projects that need to be completed etc etc)
I remain,
a) impressed by your build rate
b)depressed by your build rate
c) wish I could do half of what you've managed this year.

Regards
And keep it up

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Dizzyfugu

Well, my buidling tempo is nothing I am really proud of - it's just the way I work through my projects. I do one at a time, and work very "efficiently", with dedication and focussing on the big picture, not minute details that noone will be able to tell later. I do not build for real life presentation, e. g. at conventions, but rather for the beauty pictures that come with the background story (which helps me focussing towards the goal, too).  I can only work properly when I "burn" with an idea, and then things move fast. This way, a good idea may linger for years, but when the stars are right, things move fast - like the Macross VF-4 I am currently finishing (the idea has been in the back of my mind for almost 25 years, but it took that long for a sound model kit to materialize!). I am really not the type of modeler who has five projects on the bench at the same time, working here or there.
