The Kitty Pirates were a band of aerial buccaneers competing with Captain Fat Hamster for control of the Nullarbor Coast.  Like most airbourne freebooters they eschewed camouflage for bold, often garish colour schemes.  This Mitsubishi A6M3 is a prime example.

The Model.

Hasegawa 1/72 Mitsubishi A6M3 Zero (1972 mould - 1987 release).
Built as an exercise in masking.
Painted using flat white enamel, Tamiya pink primer and acrylic clear.
Home made decals.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Yarrr tis an excellent lookin plane
and would double as a fairly good looking racer with the paint scheme
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront
Not a member of the Hufflepuff conspiracy!

NARSES2

Strangely, that works and really well as well

Well done sir
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

TallEng

Reminds me of those formation Liberators the Americans used during WWII to help gather the herd together.
Could also be a formation aircraft at Reno, flown by Bob Hoovers niece? ;D
I was expecting it to be the lead pirates plane with a zero on the fin, not a two
Nice masking

Keith
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

PR19_Kit

Brings new definition to the term 'dazzle camouflage'.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thanks folks.
The 2 was a late addition.  It was the first number of the right size I found in my tin of decal offcuts.

Those are the best ones to use sometimes because it makes for a surprise of sorts and it's fun to see something come together that you like, but didn't quite plan.

You can't really see her through the canopy but the pilot is dressed in matching pink flight suit with white booties and helmet.
