Thanks dudes.

So they are eighties munitions?  Too modern for this build then (I didn't think of doing it in Gulf War camo like the Tamiya/Italeri Jag  :banghead:).  I'll go for something else then.

I primed the bang seat, a (MiG) pilot and instrument panel today and started prepping the undercarriage parts but then had to gp to work.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I think that you need is something more like the CBU-100(A.K.A. Mk.20 Rockeye). Those were fielded in 1968 so they should fit the timeline.

Sorted the weapons today.
The Hasegawa GR1 comes with SNEBs, tanks, some very tiny bomb shaped munitions, a small central pod and a single example of what looks like an iron bomb.
The Harrier B will carry tanks on the fuselage (there is now room since it no longer has a single central rear undercarriage) and the inner wing pylons, iron bombs on the original outer wing pylons and sidewinders on new outer wing pylons where the outriggers used to be.

I also today continued painting fiddley bits.

Practice bombs and carrier ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

zenrat

The teeny tiny bombs (about 6mm long) mount in pairs onto a carrier which mounts onto outer wing pylons (would USAF call it a DER - Double Ejector Rack? ).
The central pod is a simple cylinder with rounded ends.  I suspect it is meant to be some sort of electronics pod.

Ah right.

I can remember a few RAF kits of that vintage coming with a practice bomb dispenser and load.

Makes sense to include things that could be seen on the real thing.
I will put the teeny tiny bombs to one side for use with a biplane, ornithopter or autogyro.

The Hasegawa canopy has the faintestly moulded framing ever.  If it was anymore faint it wouldn't be there.
It is therefore barely possible to brush paint the framing in my usual manner so I am using a combination of painted strips of tape and brushing the frame round the bottom.
The cockpit is exceedingly plain having no stick, pedals or sidepanels.  This however doesn't matter as having replaced the Hasegawa (anorexic 12 year old) pilot figure with one from the Academy MiG 27 which donated it's lower rear fuselage (who had to lose his lower legs to fit) then you can't see anything in there as s/he is sitting very close to the instrument panel.
I have added some greebles to the plain flat area behind the bang seat.

I decaled this today.  It took three sets of roundels before I had a set that either were not melted by the solvent (Hasegawa) or refused to settle (Airfix).  In the end I used a set from a Tamiya/Italeri Jaguar.
Other than the roundels I have gone with one of the decal schemes from the Hasegawa kit.

It's amazing how transfers suddenly bring a model to life, looking good Fred

Do the main wheels retract into the spaces where the hot nozzles used to be?

If so that's VERY ingenious!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I'm not that clever Kit and didn't think of it.  Wish I had though.
The entire lower rear fuselage is chopped about MiG 27 including the complete undercarriage (wheels, legs, bays and covers).
